BM Marching Bands

Anyone have contact info for the marching bands at Burning Man? I want to hook up with one and participate in the Marching Band festival. I play the pocket trumpet, well, any trumpet. Lead, soloist, solid section player.

Is that anything like a boneaphone or a skin flute?????

I knew someone would take it there. Not even. Nor is it like a slide 'bone either. It does requiring fingering with 3 fingers though.

The Extra Action Marching Band made quite an impact on me when they descended dramatically upon Center Camp about 30 seconds after a friend of mine accepted an engagement ring there one evening in 2008. It was so spectacular that it looked like an intentional celebration. (It totally wasn't. Just one of those amazing things that happens.)

I have no idea if they are in attendance or whether they're accepting new musicians, but they were very impressive.

Well, I knew somebody would go there and I put it there anyway. So - no worries. I hear it all the time when I say I play the 'pocket trumpet'.

Savannah, a few years back my Wife's b-day(happens every year) was on the Playa.. As the sun was setting our camp was getting ready for a b-day party... The BM Marching Band came by just walking.. I yelled out about my Wife's Birthday and they made a sharp turn into camp and played a few songs... The whole neighborhood showed up.. What a blast.. I grabbed a ice chest full of cold beer and opened the lid....... Beer flew out......

Made her day...

There are several bands for you to research...
Extra-Action, March Fourth, The Burning Band, and Titanium Sporkestra (which, I believe, is a real, year-round extravaganza out of Seattle(?) - maybe not what you're looking for, but...)...
