When the doc's told me both my daughters were allergic to Cats/Kittens, I ran right out and got them each a KITTEN!

I do believe that in certain non-life treatening cases you can beat some allergens.

Currently in the process of desensitizing Matty Pockets from his Dog allergy, we had it completely gone with my ole buddy Balue, then Balue passed, when we got th epup Mawly, he started having the fits again...now he's down to 2 benedrils only!

But we did find that Dog slobber is worse on him then the dander!

I was told for years I was allergic to cats, but never tested.
I was even given a series of shots once, no idea what now.
When I was finally tested, I am no more allergic to cats than everything else on earth.
Only dogs test high for me.
They are a particular issue in general for many.

There are a lot of things that can be done in control, and I hope they have told you about those.

I finally started getting the shots, and it's the best thing I've ever done.
Actually cheaper than all the medication too, little of which I can tolerate.
Very important to find a good allergist.

I just saw a story in the news about allergy drops.
Has anyone else heard of this?
I'm going to try to find out more.
My allergist isn't convinced of efficacy.
It would be a lot more convenient though.

P-mom, fucking sage for me too, although we aren't blooming yet in Utah. Probably the cats too. LOL, not that the cats will be blooming. Various green and growing things, fortunately I can take plain Zyrtec as needed. They also give me Singulair for my asthma, which does wonders for the allergies as well. Huzzah for the base pharmacy.

I did just get my air ducts and returns cleaned out. The ducts has been cleaned, but never the returns. A foot of ancient dust and debris, including construction debris from the 50s, down in the bottom of all three. The returns, which are on the outer walls and get condensation, had mold in them. The test kit went black-purple instantly. One of my main triggers, and I've been sleeping with my head next to it for years now. A huge improvement in my sleep and breathing. Fuck, yeah!

Fuck - Knew it was going to happen at some point. I have three brothers and a sister - all in their sixties. I was just informed that one of my brothers has inoperable gall bladder/bio duct cancer. He's been given six months to a year. We are not a close family. No animosity - just not close. It's probably been over ten years since we've seen each other. Guess it's time. As has been said many time – fuck cancer.
