Simon, AWESOME thread!
I have been slogging through my list for years, and the BM festival has filled in so many of the gaps that I thought could never be accomplished.
I have traveled, saved three lives, taught a child new things.
My fear is that when I am on my deathbed, that I will have regrets.

BEFORE I DIE, I HOPE TO HAVE NO REGRETS.

I'd like to just set foot in all 50 states.
I just have North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Alaska.
I'd really like to go to Beale St in Memphis.

Attend one baseball game at all minor league ballparks, including the independents.

There are some things I would still like to do, but that's only because life is a lot like Burning Man in that you can never do and see it all in the time you have. And almost every day I learn about something new that I'd like to do or see that I didn't know existed yesterday. So, since the only thing I regret is something beyond my control, I have long ago decided to enjoy and appreciate my life as it is.

I'm not sure, really.

I feel, when I die, I will have done, exactly, what I was supposed to do.
and, whether things were experienced, or not, will not matter.
I'll be dead.

Biding my time, hopefully in Valhalla, perhaps to reincarnate in my family line, again.

To me, the true thing before I must die,
is to bring happiness, joy, or a giggle,
To help others in need, without asking why,
When a duck walks, it's tail feathers wiggle

Can I share a warm thought, with a person who needs it.
be remembered, with smile, and small tear.
Show love to a person, and a hug just to feed it
stride forward, through life, without fear.

And be thought of as funny, a wit, or a dear one,
by those whom I've loved, one and all,
Or heard in a story, related be loved ones,
to a person not known me, at all.

It's what we leave behind..........truly, the wealth of a lifetime is only shown, in the tears shed at your passing.

I've been to all 50 states, so that's off my bucket list.

Visit Tahiti.
Run the Antarctica Marathon.

That should just about kill me.

New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Perhaps New Jersey, but Larry and I can't recall if the truck routed through there or not once. Very likely. Alaska was only the Anchorage airport, but I'm counting it.

Visit more National Parks, perhaps. I do like me some parks.

Where I'd like to go: Petra, Rome, Egypt, Scotland and Ireland (likely), perhaps Russia, Prague, Copenhagen, India. CANADA!? Vancouver could happen, easily. Niagara Falls. Just about anywhere I haven't been. Just about anywhere with ruins or an art museum and history.

Haven't been to South America, Australia, or Africa. All possible. Antarctica might not happen, but then again, it might.

Places I've been which others may not have had the pleasure:
Diego Garcia, lovely and remote and run by the British, leased by the US Navy.
Persepolis was fucking amazing.
Mt. Fuji was interesting and kicked my slacker ass.

Solo skydive from over 10,000 ft. Hopefully will be accomplished by the end of this summer, because I'm signing up for the training and certification classes. :D

Travel around the world (all continents). So far I haven't stepped off North America.

Hike the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island.

Many many more on my bucket list than this, but most importantly:
Grow old with the satisfaction that I have accomplished most of what I have dreamed to do, while having no regrets about those dreams that I let go.

Maybe there is something wrong with me, that I can't muster any enthusiasm for a bucket list. I try to enjoy the journeys of my life, rather than the destinations, because sometimes that is all we get.

But the exit from life is a journey, too; I have seen a lot of those, so I can say that, before I die, I want the chance to say goodbye to all the people who love me, and to tell them that it will be okay when I am gone.

edited to add: I am really not as depressed as that sounds, and I am really looking forward to going to TTITD with you all!

I get it.

I was supposed to be dead a few times.
I had a lot of time to think last time.
Interesting what you do think about.
Regrets didn't come up.

I did make jokes.
