Virgin from Tampa Bay

Post by kevin428 » Tue Apr 12, 2011 12:31 pm

I'll be making the long haul cross-country from Florida for my first burn this year. I've been wanting to go to BM for 3 years now. This year I said "fuck off" to the fear of the unknown and took the plunge. Now I can't wait to get to my new home!!!:D

I'll be camping with the Couch Surfing camp, stop by and introduce yourself. I hope to meet every one of you on playa

Cheers,
Kevin

Your odds of meeting most of us on the playa would be a lot greater if you attend the eplaya meet n greet hosted by Dr Pyro at Barbie Death Camp and Wine Bistro.

Thursday evening beginning at 6 p.m. It will last until probably 8 or so. Last year we had over 100 ePlayans show up. Our camp has historically been located around 3:30 and D or E. We have hosted this every year since 2003. See you there!

Kevin 428 you are AWESOME!

Florida to Nevada.... thats a hell of a long ways!
Are you car pooling/ride sharing with anyone to try and help defer some of the cost of gas?
Why don't ya stick your head in that hole and find out? ~piehole

Lavishing love and attention on Kevin!!

ARE you carpooling...I've done the math on gas and time for a trip from our area (Florida too) to BRC...I think flying's the way to go perhaps! I'm looking forward to hearing about your adventure!

Have you done the comparison to figure out how many people have to car pool for it to be cheaper to drive?
I might be able to tweak my spread sheet to do it from Florida. If I could figure out how to make it universal that could be a cool little tool.

Only if you are short in time, there are so many routes to get there and so many nice places to see along the way that you can drive there many years without using the same path.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, especially after the attention-getter post (oops).

Yes, flying would be cheaper and a LOT quicker, but I have all the time in the world to get there and, as Vizoo said, there's plenty of country out there to see and experience.

Amen!
Some day, it will take a week to get to Bman, a week at Bman, and a week to get home. But, tell then, we'll drive balls to the wall and get there in 24 hours.
