Hey all! Any advice for a new Burner from the UK?

Post by Jimathy » Sun Apr 17, 2011 4:59 am

Hey everyone, hope your all well.

I am planning my first burn next year. Although I understand all the info about you need to do and bring to prepare, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for people like myself coming from overseas with regards to buying equipment, transporting it etc.

Any thoughts? Is there an alternative thread anyone can direct me to?

Thanks in advance for any help, look forward to hearing from ya soon!

I don't know of the availability of the packages, but that's the first possible solution I'd cover.
There will be a rideshare board up soon here, and there's always craigslist--which you can adjust to whatever city you fly into. Make sure you have a back-up plan, some people do get stranded on the playa.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Seems to me that the best way to do this is get with some group that has accommodations, food and sleeping area already set to go.

Although it will cost you. But it may be worth it.

Have a wonderful first burn. Come by for a spanking! Greeters camp!
