Let me be less creepy. Hi! I'm Auder.

Post by Auder » Wed Apr 20, 2011 2:14 am

I've been creeping around these forums for about two years without saying much. It's about time I grew a set of forum posting balls (or some serious ovaries), and stopped being a Lurky McLurkster. Hi! I'm Auder.

Last year was my first burn and I love love loved it. LOVED IT! My fella, however, did not which kinda isn't surprising him being him and all. So from here on out all my burns will be attended solo or with friends...when I find some...who would like that kind of thing. I am both excited and terrified about that. Gah! Anyhoo.

I not going to settle down in BRC this year because I'm going to try being a half decent granddaughter instead and do the yearly family get together thing (I actually think my witty sailor mouthed Nana would love BM if she wasn't so into Jesus). I DO plan on being there next year though, if I don't explode with excitement before then. It's such a long time to wait and I only keep about 2 ounces of patience on my person at any given time.

Between now and 2012 I hope to get to know lots of you, then I can say "see you there" when that time rolls around.

To those going back to their much loved home this year, have a wonderful, exhilarating, & love (and/or lust) filled time! :D

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

That's wise, as a civilian is only allowed to carry up to 3 oz. of patience at any given time (for "personal use").

Glad you delurked!

Sure hope you use the word stranger as a noun and not an adjective here. Otherwise I find that a pretty rude limitation for a first time out! I was always under the impression that you ppl vie to outstrange each other pretty much as a matter of course.

(and yes, I did have to just look that up to figure out the adjective part. I can spell good enough but the rest is all just a great big mystery to me)

Enjoy yourself, Auder. There's definitely much to enjoy here.

It is indeed a favorite sport there. :)

One of the best things I ever saw there was a man in an amazing technicolor gorilla costume. It was colorful and huge (I keep thinking pink or purple but am not sure anymore . . . and it was several feet taller than his 6 foot in height, I believe). Best were the telescoping arms that were about as tall as the body, controlled from inside as an extension of his own arms.

He loped into view moving for all the world like a crazed gorilla on the loose, bounded towards me at a run, using those huge "knuckles" on the ground in a way that showed he had done his research, and passed, hooting, eventually disappeared from view, never breaking character once.

Crouching Tiger, Sudden Monkey.

Drive-by hooting!

I'd check your local jurisdiction. The UK is not the USA.
