Solar Panels, Batteries, Generator, Lights for Art Install

Post by EricMagic » Sun Jul 25, 2004 9:43 am

If you would like to help in donating any solar panels, batteries, lights, or generator for lighting an Art Installation please let me know. We are working on an Art Install that is about 22' in diameter overall, and about 20' to 30' for one flag pole. It is mostly a well designed layout of very special flags with a place for persons to write things about philosophy and feedback on the Art Install.

We need to light it at night with spot lights and electrical wire (colored lights) along certain guy wires and other parts of the Art Install.

If you can spare anything or know where is the best place to buy these things on the internet or in Reno please let me know.

Any help will be appreciated.

We will make it happen one way or another.

I have purchased from www.azsolar.com before, I think their prices are competitive. solar is great for all the obvious reasons, but it is expensive, and if you are running stuff at night, you will need a set of batteries and some calculations for how much when and where. you say you will be running spots, they take lots of power.
depending on how much juice you need, a generator may be the most economical choice. if you do get/rent one, try to get one of the super quiet honda or yamaha models.
