What are you bringing to the Meet & Greet?

Eplaya Meet & Greet, Thursday at 6 PM, Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro.

Be there or be square, bring something to share. Ice, liquor, anything to drink are the usual contributions but this year we have been hearing a lot about gourmet cooking on the playa, ovens turning out yummy goodies and quick/easy/delicious snacks, along with elaborate appetizers. So we say to you all:

Bring it!

If you think you can do better than canned ravioli hot off the dash board, well, we'd like to see that!

So: What are YOU bringing to the Meet & Greet?

I'll bring fresh baked chocolate chips for sure and also a main course, but I have to think about that awhile. Maybe an old fashioned pot roast with potatoes, carrots, onions and celery?

I will be bringing a bottle of fine Merlot as well as some newly minted name tags for all to wear. (a sampling was sent to Doc Pyro today) I suppose I could toss a can of ravioli in my backpack along with a few extra forks.

Two dozen 50ml bottles of chambord and a bottle Cannabis absinthe. Food? Yer actually gonna masticate with deglutition of food? Is this a Meet n Greet or a MEAT n Greet? Negative pressure deglutition is acceptable,,,, but consumption of dead animal and plant remains can lead to bad breath, dirty teeth, sticky fingers and,,,, ummmmmmm *biting lip* ohhhhhh nevermind!

Oh dear, TnT, well eating is not required, nor is food-bringing, and I guess we could rope off an area for the nonavores; Doc says there is plenty of room.

ok JK, you bring the ice cream, i'll bring the cookies! And some sort of nibbly thing that is salty and involves feta cheese. I have a fabulous guacamole recipe that involves feta, but hmmmm on the avocados making it till Thursday. Will have to experiment with freezing puree.

OK ice cream it will be. I love topping it with chambord, but it dawned on me that the ice cream will be good with the chocolate chips too.

Chambord martini's aren't bad either. The little bottles have the gold crown on them and are quite lovely by themselves. There's enough booze inside to give two persons a pretty good buzz.

Yes I'm sure you do! Where else would you get the energy for all of your interesting activities...

I have no idea where I'd find rope for the nonavors, anyway; they'll have to mingle with the vegans I guess...

I think I got pushed forward into the wrangler spot, Figjam, but I'm hoping Tamara will help me.

I think it will certainly suffice if the food-bringers actually show up

no need to show up early unless you want to help wipe sweep off the tables.

of course i'll help. Not sure what all we can "coordinate" with this pack of hooligans, but ok!
I was already bringing a stack of paper plates for other things so i'll get another stack. I would think that most of this group will know enough to bring a cup, fork etc, but we can plan on providing a few utensils for the forgetful.

I'm extremely embarassed to admit that I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to bring to this, the ONE event that I have had on my calendar since my very first days here.

My main problem is volume and weight restrictions in my packing.

So I was wondering if you had any suggestions....

otherwise I'm likely to show up shamefacedly packing only ice. And toothpicks (the only thing I could think of that's plentiful while still being small and light).

Which just would NOT do in terms of showing my respect to all of you wonderful people!!!!

So. Um..... Help????
