TomServo - you are definately NOT being annoying. ken-doll (thanks for that lala, i love it :D ) will certainly devour the videos.

I'm going back and forth on when to pull the carpet, but it will definitely get pulled. Can't decide what to put in though, either bamboo or some funky linoleum. It has light toned wood, everything is tonally blonde, or warm yellow (not bright) and I LOVE color so a fun crazy floor would be good. Decisions decisions.

But as is typical in our house, i'm thinking of decorations and ken-doll is thinking about generators, wiring, voltage testing or some such lol

What you people need to understand is that Tamara and Ken are Barbiebarians, and therefore are simply better than your average drugged out hippie or drunken yahoo. We take care of our own and only eat the young of those who are inferior. Which means most of you.

You can color wood, especially with the new two part acrylics.

Any kind of pattern is possible.

LOL, sorry I'll get some posted tonight. We let them stay in it till today, they leave for missouri this afternoon. They were going to get a hotel for the last two days, but we really didn't have to have it and you know what a softie Ken-doll is.
He's picking it up today, I'll get some shots of it and get them on here.

It sounds like there is more then just a money transaction going on here. Some things are just meant to be I guess. I do wish to say, that in my humble opinion, one of the most important things to consider as you aquire said Airstream is your Tow Vehicle. Maybe something like an old woody, or a 57 Chevy should be considered.

Congrats on your purchase, may it serve you well!

Wedeliver, yes they have to move to missouri, their daughter is in icu (husband shot her) and kids are in foster care. protective services won't let them take custody if they live out of state. Interesting couple, I wish we had gotten to know them before they had to move. Really enjoy their company.

In Tom Robbin's Skinny Legs and All, the character Boomer welds giant metal drumsticks and wings onto his airstream and rolls down the road like a giant roast turkey wrapped in foil.

Five grand sounds very fair. I gave almost that much for my '69 twenty-six footer, and I had to replace most of the wiring and water/waste pipes. You should know that the 31' models are fairly tough to pull. You will NEED a equalizing class III (minimum, I use a class IV) hitch, and that pig will still push/pull you around...or at least my 26 footer does and I pull it with a 8000# old diesel Dodge.

Nope, I checked the torsion inserts, and replaced all the bearings and brakes. They are just big, and comparatively heavy for a TT.
