It was better last year. We put the bride and groom on haybales ourselves...

A disgusted drunken whisper from the top-hatted fellow hanging uneasily outside the event tent:

"I do hope a brisk wind does not come up. This structure seems primed for epic failure."

So is everybody staying up for the wedding?

Charlie had some good cars, famously yelling at Diana for scratching the hood of his Aston lying on it, and there are some other car stories, but William riding a Ducati Corse through London traffic is a little different.

How much bloody taxpayers (ratepayers?) money is going into this farce?

I hear William scaled it down from what some wanted, and from the last one.

Good for tourism anyhow, I bet.

I'm sure there are figures on all of this somewhere with the coverage.

I'm relieved to not hear about Schnucki and all the other famous people I've never heard of, for a time.

Gyre's correct, England will make a huge profit on this. The taxes alone from hotels, cabs, airport fees, and so on will cover the "expense" of the wedding something like 20 times over. [Cite: The Telegraph] It's akin to people not wanting an arena for a basketball team here in Sacramento because "that money" could be used for schools, housing the homeless, and any other cause you can imagine. Except The Business Journal showed that the taxes brought in from the teams staying at high-end hotels, concessions, restaurants, others being employed, and on and on and on, that the arena would create more taxes than it would take to build it. Oklahoma City, Denver, and San Antonio have proven this to be absolutely correct.

The English only wish they could do this every other month or so.
