Pantry Box

Post by unjonharley » Mon Jul 26, 2004 10:33 am

In figuring how much food to take to the playa. It will have to be in a container/pantry box. The food will be stored in serving size containers. When a serving is remove and used, The container can be wiped out and returned to the pantry box. When home again the pantry box can be simply dumped. No-Moop

An added idea would to split up the pantry box. Shit happens. So when it dose. If the boxes are put `in two different places. Only part of the food is damaged.
Another reason for two boxes is: I have chosen two under the bed tots. That way there is only one level of stuff in each. i wont have to dig through every thing to get what I want. I'm adding munchies to the pantry box too. Or any and all food stuffs.
This can work for larger camps too. JUst use larger servings and tots.

This sounds like a great idea! I'm making a pantry for a group of 15 again this year, and trying to avoid the rooting around through stuff on the floor problem. What are you making your single serving containers out of? cardboard?

The local Dallor Tree store has a nice selection of plastic "closeable" boxes.
