Hey family its so wonderful to start acting on burningman for this year! So thankful to have all of this bliss in our lives =)
I'm reaching out to ya'll because we have burners and virgins alike that are ready to make the trek to the playa!!! Many of us are artists (mixed media), musicians (show performances), builders for dome and stage, artistically inclined, dust dancing, creative types, science buffs, technologists... well shit, that's just throwing us in a box but ya know what were saying... were bringing smiles, laughter and love to the playa while spreading a Telekinetic Vibe!!!
Live art as well as sculptures, body painting, hoopers, interactive entertainment, live acts and dj sets are all a part of what we will be sharing @ BM this year!
We are an open group of fun spirited festival goers that are bringing a 44 foot dome to Rites of Passage this year!
Making the trek from Miami, we are curious if anyone else is headed out from here and if you have any tips you could share?
We are interested in purchasing a vehicle capable of getting us to BM and back, if anyone knows of someone with a vehicle in or near Fl that is avail pls let us know
Also if there any camps with stage/sound system that are interested in partnering up, pls contact us!?! If we didn't need to bring ours stages, lighting, sound from down here that would be optimal, but we are prepared to bring it as well!!!
Excited to roll around in the dust and unite the energies of our tribes =)
Pura Vida,

This post is pretty old, and I haven't seen any posts from CinVida lately, but its worth a shot.
There is a web site http://www.floridachurchbus.com/ that sells used school buses, down in Florida. There was one I really liked and almost flew down there to take a look.
But since you already in Florida it could be worth making a trip to go check it out.
It could hold people and gear, and be super stylish if painted right!

Why don't ya stick your head in that hole and find out? ~piehole

A school bus does sound like a pretty nice idea. You can re-enact The Muppet Movie.
A caravan of normal cars or vans and a box truck (moving truck or otherwise) for the equipment might also work very well, especially if you don't have the ability to make a school bus shipshape in time. Rentals often cost slightly less if you don't drop them off at exactly the same place you picked them up. Even 5 or 10 miles difference can result in a "1-way rental" discount. Funny.
It's hard to offer advice in a very broad general sense, but there are lots of specific threads about specific aspects of the trip in the Q&A, Tips and Tricks forum.

I totally agree, there are better places to ask questions.
The 44 ft Dome caught my eye.
But CinVida, has made one post this year, and that was a month ago. So it would be nice to see him reply, but chances are slim.
