Alone on the ePlaya.....
Here I am... late in the afternoon... looking out across the vast ePlaya... sensing the emptiness, the desolation before me. I look up and see (in the Users Browsing This Forum line) only my name... floating like a small cloud on the breeze... and I feel... alone.
It is a good feeling. There is no life on the ePlaya... nothing growing, nothing scurying about... all the creatures, great and small, are moving about; some to their nests, some to watering holes; some in search of prey.
As I sit and watch I see that the winds of change are still ... although one never knows when a storm will arise out of the west and threaten to destroy structures that the inhabitants have erected, usually in hopes of protecting them from those very storms... often in vain.
Well, the night creatures are about to come out, and it is time for me to travel again... As I leave the ePlaya today, I think of all the ways that it has met my needs, made me think, and provided sustanence to my weary and thirsty soul. Some look here and see a desert. I look and see life.
Tomorrow I'll be back... and I will watch the cycle repeat itself.

I enjoy it... wrap me in your concepts... lurk around my perceptions... dance naked across my sensibilities, all the while fiddling "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" on a blazing fiddle... on the ePlaya, it's all good.
Of course, if Rob was to do any of this, I would be soooooooo outta' here!!!

OK, here's the plan. You hit upstairs with a feint followed by a couple solid jab/hook combos. I'll head down below with a leg sweep and follow with an ankle trap while you...Rian Jackson wrote:Rob, I hear a challenge. Shall we team up on this one?

attacking other people, voices telling me to attack other people...
Goddammit! Those fucking voices in my head have learned to type!!
I'm already wearing the damn tinfoil hat you told me to! Isn't that enough? No killing the neighbors! No attacking people!
Bad voices! Bad voices!

But they are such wonderful fantasies!!!!
I am actually listening to the sound of the air conditioner blowing through this building, and I can feel the breeze off of the Playa!!! How strange is that?
I am also taking up a collection here at work... the 'Send Sam To Camp' collection, so I can get my truck out of California and get to Burning Man. So far all I've collected have been dirty looks and random insults... but I have Hope!
I am also selling Stock Options on myself. I am telling people that once I go public, I will split and earn twice as much as when I was whole, and I promise to pay annual dividends (if I make a profit for the year)... so far, no takers. Dunno' why, though. I even have a full color prospectus and everything.
By the way, the light on the ePlaya at this time of day is getting close to perfect. Must be the way the dust gets kicked up...

Uhm, er, I'm afraid that isn't a breeze off the Playa.... Ah, that, actually, is me.... I ate a bunch of beans..., and, well....I am actually listening to the sound of the air conditioner blowing through this building, and I can feel the breeze off of the Playa!!! How strange is that?

Alone again on the ePlaya... It looks like rain... we could use it... it's needed to cool things down around the political threads... and to keep the dust down on the other, 'smart-assed' threads... and it gives us a great sunset.
It also keeps the racoons away... although I haven't figured out why...
Love to ya' all...
Nighty-night...
Sam

Joel... Bucket Headed Alien...
Here, play with this one for a while... And enjoy the picture of Rob's fuzzy moon...
Doesn't a fuzzy moon mean that rain is coming?
