Well, I started this thread on solar and wind. THEN, I found that I have great possibilities for hydro power on my new place in Oregon. So, I'm adding hydro power to this page;

The dollar is in the shitter compared to gold. OPEC has always maintained a par between gold and oil. IF they can maintain this linkage, the price of oil and power will go WAY up. I'm taking a new look at wind power. There are tons of companies with new machines. I'm a DIY kinda guy. I prefer to make my own. They sell lots of blades for horizontal axis turbines but not for vertical axis wind machines.
It's impossible to make good copies of the best "blades". There is a company that will sell components. http://www.neo-aerodynamic.com/Projects.html
"As cost per watt; wind turbine only makes economy sense if its price reflects a 80% reduction of its current price. The challenge we will meet and beat."
Much of the cost reduction is achieved by their use of off-the-shelf induction motors for generators. They have a novel approach to modifying these motors.
The design is a radically new approach. The standard calculated output is always LESS than the actual open-air output.
This is the Peswiki page;
http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Neo-AeroDynamic
There is the possibility that the Depression II will decrease demand so much that the price of oil will fall with the dollar rather than rising commensurate with the price of gold. Because of the high demand of oil from the East, I doubt that the PTB will let the price of oil fall very much.

Harley there are a lot of new developments with magnet motors. I'm building a variation. It's designed by a Frenchman by the name of Hatem. He evidently has good science behind him. http://www.hatem.com/atom.htm
It's basically similar to this design;
Peswiki lists some of them;
http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Magnet_Motors
A Turkish guy seems to have a decent design. There have been a few new patents lately, too. Also, there have been great results using magnet motors for producing HHO gas.
It's easy to prove that a magnet has a circulation of particles. I believe that they are currently calling them "magnetrons". This by itself implies perpetual motion,,, just like the electrons in an atom.

Looks/sounds like they would work well in household. Ceiling fans, fish tanks, coy pound and maybe in small appliances.. Be like LED to incondesent.

Harley, there really isn't any size limitation. Here's a good size motor from the Turkish guy. It's being demonstrated at a university. You could probably rule out simple fake technology;
http://stop-secrets.com/m/videos/view/F ... sassembled
There was a guy who had a motor with coils. In an adjacent room, he had a high-power transmitter that was in tune with the coils.
There is a youtube vid of a simple bar of steel with magnets on it. After it runs, the guy takes it apart to show that it is fabricated from just a very few parts. I can't find it now.

"SCE is building an eight-megawatt lithium-ion battery facility in the renewables-rich Tehachapi region where the utility last year completed a substation now capable of delivering 1,500 megawatts of wind power to the Los Angeles region."

There is a new development in solar panels. "developed a solar sheet device that can capture 90 percent of sunlight or 70 percent more than today traditional solar panels"

Did you not see the flaw? It won't work. You get one cycle and then all the tanks are at equal pressure. Lame scam.can't sit still wrote:Pretty interesting demonstration;

Re: Solar and Wind advances
"Brody, Herb. Victor Klimov in Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico has constructed a solar cell which can absorb the light of a specific wave length in such a way, that one photon can energize more than one electron. As soon as the electron absorbs a photon, it disappears for a very short moment into the quantum field. Being in the virtual state the electron can borrow energy from the vacuum and thereafter appears again in our reality. Now the electron can energize up to 7 other electrons. "

Is there a auto low battery-inverter shut off??
I'm looking at a 400w wind charger for about a $1 per watt..
produces @ 6.5mph down to 4.5. Can withstand 250 mph wind..
