Some forums do this, but on here your email address remains private unless you respond by email to someone.
Once you email someone yourself, your email is visible to them.

You always have the option of using the pm system, even if you receive an email this way.

At least, that's the way it works with my browsers.

I'd like to burn a C5A simply for the reason that troop seating is BACKWARDS. WTF? I guess if you take a hot landing you've more support and don't fold over your belt. BUT, it makes quite a few soldiers spew MRE's. At takeoff. Stewardess? :|

Better the backwards seating than those fold-down bench nets along the sides. That was only once, coming out of Iran. Cold as hell.

Riding Space A we got mid-rat box lunches, if anything. WooHoo.

I did get to sit in the cockpit jumpseat between the pilots once, they gave me headphones so I could hear the chatter. Not that I recall much of it. I was 13, and thrilled.

My first Air Force flight (mid-1950s) was on a USAF Super Constellation from Hickam AFB, HI to Travis AFB, CA...took 8 hours. And, yes...the seats faced rearward, even then, and every Air Force flight since then...except when on troop deployments in C-141s and C-130s when we had to endure the fold-down jumpseats.

I've walked many a circles around C-5's at Travis. Yeah, the rearward facing seats were a bit weird flying in, but not as bad as the very hungover flight in a jumpseat on a C-130 from Okinawa to Korea. The boom operator's station on the KC-135 offered a nice view btw.

Love the .mil aviation talk 8) but, I am serious about getting rid of some of this ribbon. After years of buying in bulk for school plays, I have these things here in huge loooong pieces, like trim-a-cloak range:

Image

I also have various lengths of plain ribbon in almost every color, ivory satin cording, 1/4 inch black middy braid... by the spool, y'all, I can't be keeping all of this.

Fishy if you want ribbons or lace for your boxes please let me know!

Great ribbon.

If no burners use it, I know some costume folks that would lose their mind over it.

MDF, that green(?) ribbon at the right is gorgeous and I would promise to love it and pet it and name it George. But I don't want to be a ribbon hog.

Is there anything crafty or costume-y you're looking for?

I can always use small scraps that are too short for clothing in my mixed media and collages. Even an inch is dollhouse decor.

Savannah my dear, that ribbon is green & gold and a skosh over 6 yards long. (I put lavish amounts on a green velvet renfaire dress.) Shoot me a PM with your mailing address & it's yours.

AntiM, Duder, let me know what you like & where to send it.

I have a huge amount of the reversible black & silver, nearly the whole 20-yd spool I think...

Wow, sweet. Yes, I'd LOVE some! If you PM me your info I can send you postage. :)

Is there anything you're looking for? Cloth, something furry (I have purple tipped pink, purple and turquoise fur)?

I'm making some hair falls in turquoise and green and gold (not all together, three diff pairs hehe) so if you want to get rid of any other colors of ribbon I'm down. I'll definitely pay for any postage!!

Minxy, do you want some of the black & gold cording, too?

Tell me how many yards (I have to cut those off a spool) and PM me your mailing address.

Jella, sorry I don't have any wide lavender/purple. The closest I have left are these maroon-ish ones:

Would love to send you something, Jella; how 'bout some lace trim?

I suggest that if you value your privacy, you do NOT enable your email address, that makes it public. Let people use the PM system, then decide on a case by case basis who should have your personal information.

Ooh, ooh! If someone wants to transport some art from the east bay...
cigar boxes or drawers? maybe with more specifics, I can even make you a few.
I have lumber and staplers.. masonite? how thick, how big?
I can haul stuff from here to the playa, I'll be making two trips out again this year, so, if someone can drop stuff off here, I can take it the rest of the way.
I've been using masonite at 18 by12, and cutting it down to strengthen the back of two or so cigar boxes in order to get a larger inside. I think it's quarter inch or 3/8s thick. Hm. size can vary. say from six inches to a side to two feet. I don't need these as emergency. The schlepping is complicated.
I'm putting it out there, but I don't know how fast I'll use up my supply and where I'd store too many extra.
Thank you.

That ribbon is nice. I'll take some, please, if you just want to throw in random, but this is not a "need it now!" item.
What would be nice is some fo that fringe trim. Short, but that Iliano Wear look would work on the ponies.

OOooo... a AC motor and contoller that runs off of 120VAC would be perfect... It would be driving a lighthouse type setup on playa this year.
