We request a donation of 24 12oz bottles of beer or mead. We have graphic designers that create awesome labels for the brews and then we share them with the playa. Half of the beer goes into sampler packs that are returned to the brewers. The rest is used for daily tastings and a judging.

Just want to remind everyone that posting here about circumventing the law is a violation of TOS and that if ATF wants to track down that kind of activity, you've just given them a playa address.

Alas, our goal is NOT to serve the cheapest possible alcohol. We're quite proud to be serving the same liquor you'd find at any proper cocktail lounge, all of it produced by real distilleries like Ketel One, Jameson, Herradura, and Bacardi. No offense to anyone craving some white lightning on playa, but we'll stick to our Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year Kentucky Bourbon.addison4 wrote:Absinthe, sweet absinthe.
I also think its a fun topic b/c distilling is illegal in the U.S.,
however, if you do it you can cut out 75% of the cost of alcohol.
You guys could have a hell of an operation if you had a gameplan
for dealing with the legal issues.

We used Avery's repositionable labels. You can reposition them within a few minutes and then they won't budge at all, even after days in water. I was hoping they would come off easier because I'm reusing the bottles.

This little activity sounds like it might be intriguing enough to draw you out of your camp!!goathead wrote:Sounds like Wensday evening will be fun.
Nothing like having your camp overrun by Homebrews bringing beer, mead, and other brews.

We'll probably be near the pineapples. Just follow your nose to ChefDaddy's kitchen. I'll have a couple of my home brews for you to try.

I have a 15 gal system being built right now and would like to participate in your homebrew for a homebrew project! How do I go about doing that? Thanks!

My girlfriend and I are interested in joining your camp. We have been making beer and wine for several years now. Before we camped alone or with a group of 10 or so friends. What do we need to do to sign up? Do you know for sure where the camp will be located?

I'm sure they don't know where they are placed, maybe not even if they are placed. That whole process isn't over. (Although, I think theme camp requests have been closed for a week or two.) Also, with the whole ticketing thing, they may not even be sure how many are going.
My suggestion. Go to the main site (you can get there through the link in the upper left of the page that says "burningman"), go to last year's theme camps and see if there's a contact email...

Re: The Black Rock Brewery is looking for homebrewers
As theCryptofishist points out, this is a thread for the camp's activities at last year's event (last entry from the OP is July of last year). You may care to either try the links in the original post or send a PM to the original poster to find out more info about their plans for 2012, if any. As for placement, that won't be announced until July.

We are looking for home brewers to join us again this year in the 7:30 portal. We are part of the French Quarter, so our placement is pretty much guaranteed.
