still sick since the playa!
ok, i drank from a lot of people's cups at a lot of people's bars... and i am prone to getting sick... but this is ridiculous!
i had a sore throat the day i left the playa, popped megadoses of vitamin c. my sore throat and a cough kept up for about two weeks. eventually my throat stopped hurting and the cold or whatever moved into my sinuses. i'm still coughing. those are the main symptoms, and i think i'm almost over it, but damn!
anyone else still stick?

Your post reminds me of myself. I've been off work since Monday with a cold I can't shake. It started out as a sinus issue and then got worse...the doctor says I have bronchitus and they put me on 1000 mg of Biaxin XL 3x per day. I started the antibiotics Tuesday and I just called the nurse and said this isn't working, 3 days later I'm still dragging with no energy, my throat still hurts, and I'm losing money sitting here on my ass. Give me something to knock it out! My hunch is she's going to put me on a Z-Pak or Zithromax and let that kick it's ass.
I've had this since I came off the playa, then I got better, and then I got slammed again this week. Last year I came home from the playa and I had tons of extra energy, I literally kicked ass. Not this year.
You are not alone on this. It sucks.

I had a bad immune system to begin with and really messed myself up working at a printing press a couple years ago, I kept my mask on the whole time and was glad I did. It is the dust that makes you sick. Peole wanted to see my face so I took it off , but then I put it back on, I looked like Michal Jackson, but it worked.
I took the road less traveled, and now I would like to go back and find the paved one.

After looking at all these links it appears the jury is still out on this one.

Hope that helps you out, Iso.
is this taken orally or...
I'll mention it to the g/f, but I doubt she'll go for it. She's still sketchy after the "Marinara Incident".

When I went last year as a newbie I was fighting a nasty throat something-or-another that pretty much just left me tired with a really really raw throat. I went anyhow & spent the whole time sucking on cough drops & drinking booze. And wouldn't you know it, I actually got better during the trip. Go figure!
