Aloha from Hawaii

Post by Apox » Fri May 20, 2011 7:40 pm

My name is Josh and I moved here to Oahu 2 years ago with the military. I served 8 years in the Navy and got out in January. I joined right out of high school and its basically all ive done since. I am now out and enjoying life and going to my first burning man!

I had a getting out of the navy party that was burning man themed! And since this year is Rites of Passage, its only appropriate to make this my first one! I must make sure nothing stands in my way of getting to the Playa!

Congratulations on completing your service with your enthusiasm and exclamation points intact.

Make sure you read these 22 links. It's last year's Survival Guide, but it's still mostly fresh.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Thanks for your service to your country, man! You'll find a fair number of us vets at this event. I keep having to remind folks that no one works harder or parties heartier than folks in the military!

Tailhook...I was not there!
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

Most of our camp is Navy vets; the active duty members can't get their leave to synch up.

I'm easy to find, if I'm in camp:

Anti M's Home for Wayward Art, in the village of Hushville. Usually on the number side of the b lock in the middle, on the street, capping the T intersection. Find Hushville, you can find my art project, and often, me.

You can be a judge as long as you're a contributor as well. Unless of course you're a member of BDC&WB, which you aren't.
