mobile jungle unit

Post by The DubJunglist » Sun Feb 01, 2004 10:56 pm

I'm looking into making a mobile jungle unit. I'm looking for more junglists to band together and make DNB more prevalent on the playa.

I'm all for it.

We'll have a good size camp with a lot of DnB coming from the turntables again.

Whoa we don't have any domes that large! Just 1 & it's about 20 ft. Maybe you saw a fat person inside or something.

I'm out in the desert almost every weekend & when it's warm enough, I'll invite a couple hundred people and some sound out. Just got back last night from some gold mine & petroglyph exploring out in the Mojave. If there's such a thing as too much fun, I have it all the time out there.

If anybody in their right mind wants to come out, I encourage it much. That website link will have updates & directions when the time comes so feel free to bookmark it & check back during the summer months. Cinco de Mayo weekend we usually start the shindigs back up for the summer. Hope to see you there.

That's a nice thought. Sounds like you have a great time. Bad thing about living in New England is missing all the fun that so many Burners seem to be having. Playa Del Fuego sounds like a big mud pit from what I've heard and is just not the same as camping in the desert.

Hey, My friends and I are all Drum and Bass Dj's from the midwest. This is my 2nd burn, and my buddies 3rd. We would love to get the chance to come share some sick and twisted D&B. Can we hook up?

DnB definately seemed like the bastard son of electronic music on the Playa last year. And come to think of it, SF has been rather like that too as of late. Anyways.... Re-Orient had it for one night, as i recall, but thats not enough for a 'head like me. So keep the d&b coming propa....

I took a lot of mixes and misc cd's last year for the ole discman, and gave away them all throughout the week. I would love to bring records out there, but the dust is very unfriendly towards them, as are camps which already have 10+ "booked" DJ's (heh...at BM? ha!) whom all play the same stuff (and each call it something ecentric and contrived like downtempo acid progressive house).

So I'll be bringing my jungle friends again (sadly, only in CD form)....so if you hear the likes of Patife, Marky, Goldie, Grooverider, Big Bud, Bukem, Blame, Makoto, High Contrast, Shy FX, Mathematics, Photek, Bad Company, Ed Rush & Optical....or any other hotness, I'll be near.
Gettin wicked..

As I stated in the reespeckt thread me and my friends noticed a lack of DnB on the playa last year so this year we are bringing a small breakbeat only system(tiny would be a better word I suppose)Plus about twice the heads as last year and our favorite MC.BOH! All of us are more than down to help promote more diversity(DnB) in the electronic music on the playa. Let us know what we can do.
