2nd Burn 1st time solo

Post by patty cakes » Tue May 31, 2011 7:54 pm

hey guys!
i'll be heading home this year but due to unforeseen cicumstances i will not be camping with the people i thought i would be. i'm looking for a new home base, some new friends or at least a ride back to los angeles monday.
this will be my second time on the playa, though it feels like i have been going my whole life. i'm a baker and have been considering camping with the black rock bakery. but am up for what ever new adventures should come my way.
thanks and i look forward to meeting you all!!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hi Patti,

BM probably draws more people from LA than any other area...OK maybe the Bay Area, too. Point is...you have lots of time to hook up with any number of LA area Burners/Theme Camps...but it takes commitment, work, and a bit of selling yourself...don't wait for an invitation. I can't think of any theme camp that would not want a baker in their midst...provided said baker intended to do some serious baking.

Don't be afraid of showing up solo...lots of folks do. Drive in, set up your camp, make friends with the neighbors, and start putting out some of your baked goodies...you'll fit right in!
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.
