Summer of Miracles

Post by ArieslikeParis » Thu Jun 02, 2011 12:01 am

Greetings folks! My name is Aries like Paris without the P. I have never been to Burning man but have heard so much about it. When i looked up the theme for Burning Man 2011 and saw that it was rites of passage i knew i need to go this year. Coming of age rites of passage is one of my passions and i have recently become apart of an apprenticeship to learn the ancient ways of rites of passage. So here I am ! Each summer I choose a theme that will guide my summer adventures and beyond. So this summer I am reconnecting with the part of myself that believe in anything is possible. So I call it the summer of Miracles ;) I would love to attend burning man 2011. I am willing to volunteer for an art project, Work at ticket office, facilitate activities with kids in kidsville ( I am a teacher) for a discounted ticket or a ticket. Let the summer of miracles begin. I live in the Bay. Hello peeps! :)

Summer of miracles? Had you been (like me) about the only Giants fan in St. Louis watching a miracle occur (nothing like those come-out-of-nowhere two-out game tying rallies to tick off the home crowd), then you'd know what I'm talking about. Uh, you were referring to baseball, right?

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a miracle, hope you have a plan B.

Only if we spell "Paris" like "Paries." Which now that I see it, is okay. Like a Paries Schooner.

Hi Aries. :)

There's 16 pages of required reading particularly necessary for virgins, in case you haven't seen it yet) . . . downloadable as 16 pages, or available in 22 or so links. (The 2011 version will be posted soon.)

Aires, welcome to eplaya. Glad to see that you are willing to volunteer. Lots of us have volunteered for years and years and we still buy our own tickets. You will very likely need to do the same. If Burning Man truly is somewhere you "need" to be, I suggest picking up a little extra work now to use for your ticket. Don't forget that the ticket is the least expensive part of attending. Water, food, shade, gas, etc..far outweighs the ticket price.
