Casting Performers: Rocky Horror at Videogasm 2011

CASTING CALL!!!

After a one year hiatus the Six-Minute Players will be returning to the playa for a sixth season of the Rocky Horror Picture Show with the help of the lovely folks at Videogasm.

Have you always wanted to wear sexy lingerie, heels, marvelous makeup and (non-feather) boas on the playa while dancing your heart out and pretending you're an alien? Um, well, you probably do that already but now you can do it in front of a crowd who will be screaming and cheering you on!

This is a shadow show so no singing is required. If you would like to be a part of the show, even if you don't want to be in the limelight, please let me know! I need backstage assistance as well as actors. The show will be at Videogasm in Snowflake Village Friday night at 11:59 PM!!! That's Friday night into Saturday morning folks, not Thursday into Friday or Saturday into Sunday.

Its a shadow cast performance.
I've attended the last three years of Rocky at Videogasm, I mc'd the show two years ago and had a blast! It's a great show not to be missed.
I'm better at AP then playing a role, so I'll stay in the audience.

I've played the Narrator before; I have The Book, a cigarette holder and a sequined ascot, and a smoking jacket (wrong color, but hey, no one is perfect). However, and thankfully, I do not possess a neck.

I have enjoyed the extremely bumbling amateur shadow plays, but I hate the heavily choreographed ones, with an emcee with a mike doing all the callbacks. Squashes audience participation, which was the whole point of callbacks in the first place. I won't go to the shows with a regular performance troupe anymore. Kills any sort of spontaneous regional or original callback humor.

Switched gender roles..
Had the full Star Wars cast replace normal cast..
Had the full Moulin Rouge cast replace normal cast.. (once with RHPS cast as MR during the double feature)
Sheep only cast..
Mime only cast..
Took the audience outside to watch the execution of Shock Treatment by fire..
Middle Earth cast..
CATS cast.. (dialog was all meows; we bypassed film audio with a home-made track)
Would move the spot light to the back row when people where well.. you know..
Child performers..
And a lot of shit I'm forgetting...

Any of those ironic or post-modern enough for you?

Bounce530 - Any chance you would be interested in emceeing again? The audience loved you and you had me cracking up!

Clar-i-ty - Does that mean I should put you down for Columbia?!?!?! What a fantastic role, that was my very first!

AntiM - Would you like to be the Crim again?

graidawg - Would love to have you in the cast! Let me know which role you would like. The only role that has been officially cast so far is Dr. Scott.

graidawg - No worries about singing, this is a shadow show so there is no singing required, which is a big relief for most people!

Take some time, watch the show a couple more times and let me know which role you would like! I would hate to put anyone in a part and find out they don't like it. Just let me know when you're ready.

having watched the show about 250 times before i was 20 (i'm now 41) and being chronically unambitious i would happily play the part of christopher biggins

@C.f.M. - Bring the costume on over if you wouldn't mind, that would be great! Sometimes some of the people we cast don't show up (you know how it goes) so I never know what type of extra costumes we could use for the evening. It would be awesome to have an all ePlaya cast!
