Propane hoses: Called local Amerigas distributor.. referred me to Hydraulics Inc. they make hoses for Amerigas.. Smallest size they have is 1/2" !!! They referred me to another local shop New Flame Hearth and Grill. Not only did they have 3/8" 350psi rated hose, but a wall of hose ends.

They started drooling over flame effect appliances, started yackin about local fire dept training sessions where they light a 'lake' of propane, then work at putting it out.

Edude, we make our own hoses for the small sizes for pilots (3/8" and 1/2") and get the bigger ones (3/4" and 1") made for us for Shiva Vista, Ein Hammer etc. The man with the tools might be able to help you out but he's darn busy getting married right now. Are you looking for just a few or a whole lot of them?

We first tried liquid propane for the hammer's head but it wasn't reliable enough so we had to go back to vapor phase. Getting that much volume out without freeze-up is tricky (well easy if you throw a shitload of $$ at it). The first night of Ein Hammer operation was so damn cold I had to keep switching propane tanks cuz they were freezing up. It was anticlimatic when the'd get a payoff and instead of a big boom, the flames barely made a puff up the shaft. at least it was only at 3-4AM-ish when it was below freezing so not too many people were there.

yes the head archer shot some arrows in Nam, I'll PM you a link to the archer website, although its not that secret if you poke around the horse website.

We always know its time for dinner when E-dude fires off his artillery, we use it to keep sunset time in our camp LOL

the video is of the NV Governor signing a bill with fire performers all around him, the lady in question wasn't pooPHing over his head, it always sucks to light the governor on fire. It isn't that exciting really HAHA, I wouldn't go out of your way to watch it, and there are some pix of the fans I make in the "your art" thread, none of them in action though.

Archers will need to provide their own bow (sorry no compounds, not the right look) and costumes. Perhaps arrows but we may end up making those in a batch. Friday night is the burn so pretty much you'll have to be there from sunset to after the burn at midnight. There will also be a practice/safety session at some point during the week, a few hours there, time/day TBD at this point.

And if you really wanna impress OED bring him a 20 lb. tank of CO2 or buy him a propane fill!

I'd love to see any videos you have of Ein Hammer. I hardly have any videos of any of the projects I've done. Not many were showing up in Youtube as I was hoping.

By the end of the week Co2 tanks are the hardest thing to come by at BRC.
Even DPW will give you a blowjob a full tank by fri/sat.
And yes, that is the true value, so don't let them try to lowball you
...in fact by Sat at about 5:30 PM you should be able to get 2 for 1.

This year I am not bringing anything that requires Co2 but you bet your ass I am bringing my full tanks.

I am camped at Terminal City, in the big red bus, right behind the Playawaste Raider's frontage at our camp.

last year I thought mine got stolen from the alley between us and TC, but remembered I told OED he was welcome to it. He was kind enough to empty it for me. Shit I could of got a DPW BJ or two without any warm PBR?

Did you get a new valve? Or you running a compressor or something?

Before my photopost, coming next, I wanted to ask abt the CO2...
I saw that you don't need it, but, you wouldn't be pushing liquid propane with it would you.
Please say yes...

Speaking of, I have a 20lb CO2 tank.
I wish I could find a place that would refill it regardless of the Pepsi on it...
I found it after it fell off a truck. It almost hit me.

If liquid pushing, check the patent at the end of my next post.
If deemed a good idea, I can secure funding...

New pilot light. Had some 25mph gusts and it never failed.
Stainless wool should make it almost bomb proof.

QD shutoff. The QD is really restrictive. Hesitant to modify, UL listed.
Making 2-3 more non-QD. Flare x POL with valve.

Footswitch for solenoid valve. Plugs in between line cord and coil.
Leaves hands free for ???

I have to go into town today to refil the tanx. Had to borrow a tank from the neighbor...
He's giving three non-OPD tanks. I smell accumulators.

Good thinking on the hose source EspressoDude! I'd been wondering about having them make up some LP hoses but wasn't sure. As long as they're made to standard with rated / listed components, huh?

Praxair will fill tanks no matter where they are from, plus they are cheaper than airgas around here. Don't know if you have on around you. OED doesn't use CO2 to push propane, just to........hahaha he can tell you if he wants

Oh we've got the liquids down just fine now (although propane is still quirky with the phase change), the LP just weren't reliable enough with the electric ignition on Ein hammer. We use N2 to push them "other" liquids. If you like the pooPHers you'll LOVE liquid shooters! They even let us use them in the downtown reno show and we've got some good plans for this year, mwahahaha. You really should come FF! http://compression.controlledburnreno.com/

Awesome score, just came home with Atco 3710 crimper set and and Atco 3300 crimper set, 5/16 - 5/8 hose size, one and 2 braid; Transicold hose tool set, and a leak detector kit. Halogen detector, dye and black light.

good score, Last night a friend says a guy has been promising for 2.5 years to take it away. I told him I would be there today.

He asked me if I wanted a halogen leak detector set.
Does it work on propane???,

Ah! I thought so too. It would be all too easy to snap right off when drunken Jojo wanders by. The hose w/ the QD'd was a score for $8 at Surplus Gizmos. It's kind of usless due to the low flow but may come in handy.

"BY the valve there" damn typos. yes a shutoff valve at the tank is required, QD's are not. I'm painting today in an enclosed room due to rain, don't mind me, all the fumes ya know.

I swapped out the foot switch for an old control pendant I uncovered in the shop.
Much better, the body is of a soft and incredibly sexy feeling rubber.
Swapped out the 3/8" solenoid for a NIB 1/2" one.
Holy crap! The new SV's Cv is 1.7, no idea on the old one.
The flame at 90 to 120 PSI is of such velocity as to be almost useless, for fire rings...
The sound is incredible though!
It has a pronounced roaring whistle and sounds like a cross between the Batmobile and a piccolo pete.
The flame when the accumulator is fully dumped is tall and portly.

Reg'd down to 30 PSI it's turning out great rings.
I found my 'flammable gas' box. Reg's, fittings, etc.
Found a duplex manifold to connect 2 tanks to one hose. Less icing, yay!
Went into town to fill propane tanx ($70 for 3 20# and a 30#).
Also stopped by the closed library, sat on the bench outside and DL'd
four Ein Hammer videos, Three Fluffer videos, and EspressoDude's FOGBANK and Mole Shoot vids.

Damn eDude, that's one serious boom. I had no idea that you had motorized traverse on the sucker.
That removed any remaining flaccidity I may have had.
I can't wait to see it. There's a good chance we'll annoy the neighbors 1/2 mile away. At least I'm hoping so...

DIN connector for new SV.
Removeable, should prevent unauthorized use along

the dual tank arrangement is nice, but it needs 2 ea 1/4 turn valves...safety third..

check the valve specs. probably not rated for fuel gasses...

nothing like the sound of screaming venting propane.................on fire
