The Reverend Doctor Lafayette Johnson

Post by Laf' » Tue Jun 07, 2011 4:56 pm

That's my full name, but you can call my Laf'. Or Doc. Or just about anything.

I'm a reverend in my own church of being and a doctor of thinkology specializing in possibilities. I've been hearing about this event for quite awhile now and I think the universe has finally reached the point where you all are ready for me.

I'm 42 years old and live near San Diego. You may have heard of me, I have kind of a flamboyant personality.

Whooooooeeee, we gonna have us a time.

Welcome Laf!

"a doctor of thinkology specializing in possibilities" sounds like something the Nowhere Man, from the Beatles Yellow Submarine, would say.

Read everything you can! Read the Survival Guide! Also, try and read at least 1 new thread a day on ePlaya. You'll learn so much!

Maybe even, the universe has reached a point where you are not ready of all of us!

Hiya Doc.

I founded the Church of Monty. Congregation 2. My kids. They didn't have much of a choice.

Then I changed my name to Delle and nobody followed.

Oh well. I'n still listening.

WELCOME and ENJOY!!!!
Worry is a misuse of imagination

She had blue skin, And so did he.
He kept it hid And so did she.
They searched for blue Their whole life through,
Then passed right by- And never knew.”

Thanks for the happy greetings. Yellow Submarine? Maybe. Oh wait - wasn't it Jeremy Hillary Boob, PhD? My folks are from the south so there's a bit more swamp-voodoo aspect, not to mention big lashings of Monty Python and Dr. Who.

I had to invent my own religion so I could stop being a not-a. Not a hippie, not a punk, not a raver. Definitely not a christian, not a buddhist, jew, muslim, hindu.

Thats different.
Most people are what they are. Instead of having to be what they are not.

Hey man, if you created a religion for tax/government reasons there is not reason to lie about it on eplaya.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

'Rev' works for me too. Or just Laf'. Or 'The Doctor'

Probably not a risk to confuse me with your Doc Pyro as I'm sure I'm way more handsome, clever, and charming.

Why do you keep calling me baby and darling? Do I some how remind you of a truck stop waitress?

Illy, sugar, I retract my apology. I looked back at this thread and realized you've called me a liar, said my ego is way too big, and guessed I look like Rip Taylor (although I really LOVE that tunic/whatever). My feelings are hurt, and while I will try to not call anyone else darlin' etc, I will try to ALWAYS use such names for you, sweetness.

Lol, hey Laf' I'm just giving you shit!
If you've been lurking for some time, you should know by now that I shouldn't be taken seriously very often.

You said your self that you have a flamboyant personality. Then you talked about how good looking you are, just made me think of Rip Taylor- and I didn't mean it in a bad way.
I don't care if you call me Darlen or Sug, just wondered why. And if you'd like to keep referring to me like that- cool. I'm going to keep reading with a southern accent.

Though, I don't have a certified enemy on eplaya (at least not one I know of). If you'd like we could be arch enemies?

Now, as for this new Reverend Of Me.... Does your church use pointy hats with stars on them? I've always wanted one of those, and I might be willing to convert from Heathenism for the right hat.

Oh, Illy, sugah, I was going to respond in kind and talk about your skanky nasty ass but being a gentleman is just too deeply embedded in my soul and it's just too pretty a day to go talkin' that crap, even to my new beloved arch enemy.

So you just run along now, y'here, enjoy this beautiful day as well as your twisted little dark soul will permit you to.

Elliot - sure, baby, bring your pointed hat and anything you want. The Reverend Doctor's good for what ails you. We don't provide any outfits or uniforms though, it's against my religion. And, since it's just me, funds are a mite slim. But come on down, bring what you got, we meet at the crossroads every full moon.
