All right, so I don't think the ride share forum is up for 2011 yet (or maybe I'm just too stupid to dig it out of this cavernous website) - here goes: I'm a 20-year-old female hailing from Portland, Oregon, and in light of the recent fuel crisis decided to sell my car (momentarily forgetting all about BM 2011 and how the fuck I'm supposed to get there). I have a ticket; I have a camp; I have my thousand gallons of water and a few other "party favors"; now all I need is a ride! Northwest Burners, I beg of you, take me into your van\bus\jet\clown car, just get me to the Playa!!! I am an amiable traveling companion and I come bearing GAS MONEY (ahem), Flamin' Hot Cheetoh's, the aforementioned ten million gallons of water, and some hits from the bong if you're so inclined (obviously the driver is excluded from this offer until we reach Black Rock). I have a valid Oregon driver's license (and a clean driving record) and can share in the driving responsibilities as needed. If any of this sounds potentially feasible PLEASE contact me at (503)-270 XXXX. Ask for Claira. She'll be around.......
edited by Mod M because you really, really don't want your phone number up on a public forum which attracts freaks.

Hi Queen,
Yep...it's the right link (http://rideshare.burningman.com), it's just not up and running yet...give it a few more days.
In the meantime perhaps you can connect with local regionals (http://regionals.burningman.com/us_or.html)...there's still plenty of time to make face-to-face contacts and KNOW who's giving you a lift. There are volumes of Burning Man rideshare horror stories...proceed with caution.

Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.
Hi QueenFreak,
You don't need to list your phone number in either of your posts to connect; you can just have people message you on the board. You might be able to edit for up to an hour after you post, or a moderator can edit after that (I believe).
Make sure your rideshares are cool with anything you're bringing . . . you're so forthcoming that I imagine you would.
