Recognizing that safety issues limit walking and other exercise, and having banned legal carry in parks, the police are now organizing 'safe times' with police escorts to use parks here.

In the news is testimony from a 12 year old about helping her father cut her mother's body up.
A bit dramatic even here.

Damn Gyre, sounds like time to hunker in a bunker. With a vest and helmet. And a claymore on the approach.
Keep yer head down!

Thanks, Foxfur.

Just business as usual here.

I know some people with good helmets.
The uniform supply shop here won't sell vests to private parties, because they can't get enough.

Gyre,
My wife found a vest for me in a dumpster Right after Y2K.
Second chance IIa.
Stops a .44Mag, 12ga slug, etc.
I haven't tested it. I'll take their word on it.
In the army I shot a few rounds of .22LR at an unoccupied kevlar helmet.
Stopped em. Now if only those al queda fucks would use .22's.

Amazing what people throw out.
I never find anything that good.

My friend has a german steel helmet.
Supposed to stop an off axis rifle round.

He says his czech surplus mask is better than what he was issued at benning.

They just ran out of CZ58s for $360.

You wouldn't happen to have any receiver parts in that bag of tricks?

I have a kit, but no receiver, or parts to build off of.

I have a Tapco AK receiver flat. Needs bending and heat treating, riveting and finishing.

I have a tapco flat in progress too.

Unfortunately no common parts between the AK and CZ.
The factory is here.
Maybe I'll take a tour and see if it inspires something?

If you ever want to see Barrett and a few others, they're all in driving distance here.

We built a six pound bullpup ak.
If you want to know how, I can show you some time.
Reversible too.
Balanced, unlike most ak bullpups too.

Now I'm fully aroused.
It's wonderful to live in the country that leads the world in weapons design and 95% of those are designed for civilian ownership.

Also that the presidential motorcade includes a minigun.
That's awesome.

I was heading to NE Portland to conduct a workshop for gangbangers.
I teach them to shoot properly and waste their rival bangers without collateral damage.
That last gang shooting? My student.
Just warms the heart, don't it?

Things are moving to the courts. The 9th circuit court is going to hear a case on the 10th amendment. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... s-on-guns/
This is big stuff. Clinton would like to sign a small-arms treaty out of the U.N. If the Feds are deemed to NOT have jurisdiction over the states in this matter, it would make the treaty VERY interesting. Surprisingly, the supreme court seems to be taking the side of the states. The 10th amendment is pretty clear. http://beforeitsnews.com/story/728/483/ ... dment.html
I don't post things because I believe that they are the absolute truth. I post them because I believe that they should be considered.

I take NOTHING for granted with the 9th circuit.
They're about as predictable as kittens on catnip.

Another approach to keeping your edge.

craigslist post - Activities

I'm looking for someone who has some very open land/property and a shooting partner who wouldn't mind me doing some tactical shooting to keep up practice. Ill Maintain cleaning standards as well, I'm new to area so I don't know any places or anyone, I have a good clean background and will also be willing to submit a background check if needed. Like I said , I just want a place to practice tactical target shooting and looking for likewise people. Send a reply for any further questions or inquiries, thank you.

Cowboy,
go on back a few pages. Mine is a Professional Ordnance type 97 Carbon-15 pistol. Bushmaster bought Pro Ord a few years back.
I paid $600 in 2003 when they were ~$1200.
I'm thinking of sending it in to have the upgraded furniture installed but not sure. It looks very unique with the exposed stainless barrel and the tubular vented shroud running over the gas tube.
I shoot from a weaver stance, left hand wrapped over the right. Waaay more accurate. I was hitting a child's sandcastle bucket at 150yds with every third or fourth shot. That kid was PISSED!
