That's one of my favorite times of the day. If I've managed to get to sleep the night before and not stay up till dawn, I love to wake up early enough to see the sunrise (or just watch the morning sky; it's so pretty). I make a thermos of coffee and bike out past the temple or if I'm too tired I'll head right out a bit past the esplanade and find a place to park my ass. Then I'll just sit and sip my coffee and share it with people who pass by.
It's so lovely.

Yeah, now I feel ready, though I have lots more I want to do, I can at least survive, and, not only that, I can look forward to that first cuppa every day; such a wonderful pleasure...
And oh yeah Minxy sunrise is magic.Minxy wrote:^

I feel quite happy just thinking about it!

Field testing my 10x20 costco carport today, and leaving it up into early August (as long as the neighbors don't complain, sheesh)
Me and The Kid discovered 'fogchaser' coffee last week, stuff is light/medium roasted, soooo much more caffiene, tastes like mud water but wow, I feel 21 again for about 4 hours. (The Kid IS 21, so he's doing juuust fine, lmfao!)
Lighter the roast, the stronger the 'drug' caffiene, mmmm mmmmmmm...

Just ordered my pStyle for BM porta potties as well as all the pit stops that will be taken along with way. (Driving from Virginia) When I showed my husband this contraption he replied with "jeez I've never seen anyone so excited to stand up and pee" I replied with "apparently you've never chatted with anyone whom did not have the ability to stand to pee and now will be able to."
Smile, who cares if you don't have all your teeth.
You'll wonder how you ever lived without it. I have three, now. Be sure to pack it with you, so if you're stuck at Gate for seven hours (or Exodus) you can use your peejug.
Ya know I was thinking some time ago why there wasn't something for ladies to have an easier time to go to the loo. (little did I know if I had only did an internet search *kicking myself for waiting so long* ) then as I was looking for more camping ideas to make life easier - It was totally on a whim that I searched for "womens urinating device" I wasn't sure what else to call it and low and behold there were several different kinds... I was so damn excited I thought I would get 3 different models (although the pStyle looks the easiest with less mess to rinse) however the Freshette & SheWee look like they could be used for "in tent business".C.f.M. wrote:You'll wonder how you ever lived without it. Well - - - let me not take this thread too far off track.....
Also just received my purchase of tarps (was a bit disturbed about the sizing of the one tarp it was cut on a diaganol that makes one side friggin 9 inches longer than the other side) Really people do you not care about your job that much to be so sloppy? UGH none the less its still usable since returning it through the mail would just cost me more than keeping it.

500 glow sticks. ~3 inches by 5/16 inches diameter. They're supposed to be used for lollipop sticks. They have two holes on the skinny end that will take string, floss, garrotes, etc.
I'll probably tie em into strings like party lights with 100lb test and keep em near the trailer (less moopability).
Red, orange, pink, blue, yellow, and green.

I left the snaps on so it would be all steam punk and shit!!!FIGJAM wrote:Went to wamart and bought 3 newborn onesies. ($6)

I have the...Freshette, too. I liked it great until I got the Pstyle. I look at a few more options in my blog (that I linked to). Nothing works as well or as simply as the Pstyle.Rabbette wrote:Ya know I was thinking some time ago why there wasn't something for ladies to have an easier time to go to the loo. I'm fond of the Freshette + detergent bottle (though no, I have not tried the p-style) so Rabette--you probably can't go wrong with either of those or god knows how ever many other options.
Last year was the second year I'd owned one but only the first year I developed the nerve to use it (had to practice at home) and if you count up the time it normally takes me to walk to and from the portos multiple times per day it could have saved me . . . oh, 40-60 minutes per day.
An extra 40 to 60 minutes per day at The Burning Man.
That's crazy![TracyJordan]

Some of the off the wall shit you come up with, blows me away!
I'd never thought of using baby clothes for a dust mask.
I'd recommend giving the sharpies a wash one time. I had a t shirt that a bunch of friends had signed with sharpies. So I wore it one day, my sweat sorta bled the ink out of the cotton shirt. I had blackish/blue spots all over my chest and back.
Why don't ya stick your head in that hole and find out? ~piehole
