If you need a Ref for the wrestling Ill make sure no one does anything Taboo. Tabouli on the other hand I think would go well with the hommus.

Are you are open to male performers also? If so I would be keen to do a show. My old housemate and I used to have her poll set up in our lounge, soo much fun to dance on. I'm about a 100 miles away from being a male poll dancer but I have been a ringmaster for Poledivas (poll dancing school) circus event so I'm not a total noob.

I could also MC and do a comedy act: "Fa Laf All nite" TM
or if you have decks I could play some tunes that would fit the theme and be good for dancing too.

I'm in a Middle Eastern gypsy rock band.
We would be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT to play at your camp.
We've all been to Burning Man (this is my 6th time).
A few years ago we played at Center Camp, Dustfish, Purple Palace Bus, and the Lightning Temple.

I've played hand percussion since I was 10 years old and will be attending this year with a Turkish dumbek drum. With it I could accompany anything you play over speakers for dances to lend it live Middle Eastern zeal. I can also play various traditional Arabic rhythms solo extremely well and full of improv. I used to play dumbek and tambourine at the belly dance bars here in town... Let me know or else I'll just stop by regardless. Would love to play for a themed event and I'm very respectful and encouraging with the dancers... most would be beginners or guests I assume... Super fun.

If you guys in the that Gypsy band (earlier post this thread) need a second percussionist at a gig, let me know.

Post your placement! I'll be staying at the Middle Eastern themed Hookah Lounge (likely on A) and am now bringing lots of percussion. Would love to jaunt on over to lively up the dance songs.

I've been practicing Dumbek rhythms and flourish for Maksoum and Baladi - though it's hard to keep my African and Indian out of the set.

Doug - be careful of the Gypsy curse! You may get what you ask for in a quantity you cannot handle!

I attracted said dark eyed maiden (from Peru), married her, had 2 kids, and then got a divorce. All in 6 years. And it cost just what Eddie Murphy said in Raw... "HALF!"

Is that half Iranian, or half Persian?

I began speaking Farsi and English at the same time. But it didn't take me long to forget most of my Farsi while being educated in the US school system.

My father's family are directly descended from the Qajar Shahs, and being one of the two eldest sons of our families' head I guess that would make me a Prince of Persia.
