Where do you get your playa clothes/costumes?
Where do you get your playa clothes/costumes?
I have a local Goodwill that sells clothes straight out of the reject bins for $1.69 per pound. I did pretty well there last year for some funky stuff. I see that there's a Singer sewing machine on craigslist for $50. I can envision an aluminet cowboy costume. I'd like to teach myself how to sew, buy I'm worried I won't get it, and the sewing machine will sit unused.

Goodwill, Salvation Army, Deseret, Value Village thrift stores. Most cities and towns of moderate size have vintage clothing stores...then there's garage/yard sales on the weekends...not to mention the multitudes of on-line costume/playa clothing outlets.
I don't sew...so I buy! There's also the on-playa boutiques...Sex Filth Avenue (vic Terminal Village), and Black Rock Boutique come to mind.

Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.
