what a crop of Burngins!!
Every year, a few noobs really rise to the occasion, shiny and new.
they infect us with their energy, wide eyed wonder and willingness to participate, be self reliant, and, only ask what they can't find out through research.
This year, IMHO, we have a ton of them. All have such wonderful gifts, have already contributed in many ways, and, I'm so looking forward to meeting, them, or hoping to (knowing "playatime" and all that)
anyway, I stand and start the slow clap, with a tip of the hat, and nod, to this years "crop".
Welcome: you are a big part of what this is all about.

this is one of the first years i HAVENT sherpa-ed a newb...I have left that to previous newbs who now are seasoned vets to do...
and YGMIR is oh so right....having a newb around is like having a puppy...
all the life and sparkle and wonder and play and joy.
just paper train them before they get there.

Hell yeah!
I think either AntiM or Fishy at some point used the term 'Undercover Virgin' or something along those lines. A very good term!

no livestock in the tent. Perhaps you can visit ewe friend at her place.
psst I think Yggy's talking about Foxfur the Amazing, shit did you hear that Ff's also a licensed locksmith? If it weren't for EspressoDude I'd be sure he's good to be true...
I bet he's gonna drink up all of Goathead's beer, too... dammit Bill!!!

When I see the GDawg on Wednesday, I'll let him know in no uncertain terms that the livestock belongs either in Gigsville or Apokoliptica. Probably the latter. Gigsville gave up animal husbandry for same sex orgies several years ago. Apokoliptica still has a soft spot in their hearts for sheep and other wayward barnyard animals.

AntiM, I think. "Stealth virgin"; she and MyLarry qualified their first year.

I dont understand the desire to be a stealth virgin - I can be a virgin for nearly 1o days this one time - next year i hope too bring 2 of my children who i will put in a cage (for there own protection) feeding them parrafin and alcohol for the week till they impress somebody and i can sell them for a ticket the following year.

No Grai. Your virginity will be taken from you at the Greeters station just before you enter the city. It will still be your virgin year though.....

Although if he's forced to leave the playa after two days, he'll have a virgin burn next year.
Or something like that...

I'm feeling like a weirdo, cause I'm all excited to see . . .
* The virgins, just because (and a few in particular).
* The second-years, because I wanna say stupid things, like: CAN YOU BELIEVE YOU'RE BACK and "I really feel it takes a second time for the playa to SET FIRMLY, thank God you're here, now it will 'take'. Give me that flask."
* All the narrow shaves who get lucky in STEP.
* The dear friends I've met up with on the playa every year since 2008.
* Filthy @#$% ePlayans.
* Some combination of the above.
What I'm saying is, I'm excited to see everybody. Even law enforcement. They were so laid-back last year, and for the most part both protective and servicey.

(((Savannah))) I am so with you on all of this. But as a second-year I have to say that if I get 'took' any harder than I have been I may be too real for my default life. I find myself talking a bit too freely to folks already!

Yes MDF, some of my friends have told me to "just shut-the-fuck-up, we don't understand".
Dogs are the leaders of the planet. If you see two life forms, one of them’s making a poop, the other one’s carrying it for him, who would you assume is in charge?
