Hi folks!!!

I made it to my first burn last year (2010.) It blew my mind. This year I am volunteering with DPW.

How nutz are they really?

Love,
Shiny

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Can you drink all night and work your ass off all day?
Do you like flames and firearms?
Do explosions cause you to jump?
Can you play a tuba or an accordian?
Do you polka?
Do you need food?

These are questions you should be asking yourself.

DPW works hard. That means that they have an esprit de corps and that they play hard.

At least so far as I can tell. Robbidobbs can say more.

Very good questions;

I thrive on drinking at night and working all day.
I LOVE flames and firearms!!
Yeah, explosions cause me to jump......with total glee!!
I can play trumpet....I think.....it's been years.
Polka? hrmmm......I"m a quick study, will they punt me for no prior polka play??
I've heard people can live for a whole month with no food. (Is this why the golden spike happens a month before we burn the man?)

Perhaps it's best just to avoid the topic of polka vs. non-polka until they know you. Then, it's a lovable quirk instead of a deal-breaker.

Awesome! Welcome.

You need to come by espresso camp in t-city to fire the 'Auto-PoUfer'.
A combo of fire and firearms. Sounds like a full-auto firearm anyhow...
And then there's EspressoDude's oxy-propane cannon...
What's that running down my leg?

Most of them seem pretty rational to me, but I paint over gang territory markings for amusement.
I may not be the one to ask.

Someone in my camp got banned from the dpw bar for craziness.
I think it was the first time though.
