Yipes... I'm actually HERE!!

Post by Patsh » Sun Jun 19, 2011 5:25 pm

Hi There!!

Decided today's the day to officially Un-Lurk. This is my safety net: In case this intro sucks, there's a 50/50 chance it'll be wiped out tomorrow by the big update to the site.

My wonderful son has been trying to get me to go with him to BRC 4 years in a row... This year is the year!! 2 of my sisters, (one you know as Delle) and 1 brother in law will be joining us!!!

A little bit about myself... I love my family, live to ride my trike, work in electronics.

Although I was born & raised in Quebec, I have lived in Arizona 40 years, 30 of which were without electricity or running water, which I now consider to be the beginning of my training for the Playa, along with all the required reading on the matter.

I am so honoured to be a part of this wonderful experience and am looking forward to becoming a part of the big BRC Family!

Wooooooooohooooooooooo.

Say HI, everyone, to my big sis!!!

(well not so big really. just four years older than dirt)

Be kind to her. Although she's been reading the site for months, this is her very first time EVER actually participating in a group setting on the net.

Phase two of this operation is to get my OTHER sister (who is merely TWO years older than dirt) to try this out.

Think we can do it, T?

We're about to head out to the Daz for a fire anyway.

Hi sis.
Hi FIGJAM!! Thanks for the welcome, Bro. Your reputation precedes you! We're about 130 miles apart... I'm in the Verde Valley.

I do believe we've just upped the Gross Family Value by at least 1000%.

Actually once placement comes out I will sort of be easy to find.

Unless of course I am running on Playa time chasing blinky lights.

or hiding from Sailman.

Are you joining up with a camp, or just camping out in the burbs?

This intro sucks!

Just kidding.

. . . That might be the meanest thing I've ever said on ePlaya. I had to do it. The board-pocalypse is tomorrow and I might be raptured. I don't want to face it without losing my snarkginity.

Okay, anyway, Delle is swell, I'm sure we'll love you too.

La la la! Woo!

I just sprayed some Scrubbing Bubbles all over the shower and left it to sink in with the door open; maybe these fumes are getting to me, brb.

Goathead... far as I know, we'll be somewhere around 9:45 between D and G, with Delle & Hubby, our sister from BC, my son & friend and me too. Who knows if any of the others who said they were going will actually GO!?!

Savannah,

Delle is one tough act to follow... creativity with words runs in our family.

Unfortunately, it ran right past me!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Good morning sis!!!!

Very well played, I must say. Congratulations!!!! (tho if we're to analyse the results of the last rapture, snark seemed to only more firmly anchor the purveyors' feet to the planet. Perhaps since this was your VIRGIN Snark, the results might be different for you. I'll be following this with interest.)

I am very excited to call my mother today and tell her about the new addition to the family. I totally expect she'll ask me to repeat his name at least 3 times tho.....

Figjam.

What jam??

Figjam

They make jam with figs?

His NAME is Figjam

I like fig newtons. Maybe we can call him Newton????

Sure mom. Lets do that.

On the otherhand, maybe I'll just call her to talk about other stuff. Lord knows I haven't the balls to tell her how his hat was the inspiration for my large-nippled bikini top with the chicken bone piercings.

Now THAT could be interesting!!!

Anywhooo. Have a great day, sis.

A list might be good.

Surely you come with an owner's manual???

A reasonable excuse.

I suppose we'll just have to live with the fact that when you adopted something Used, there are likely to be some surprises.

We'll adjust. :D

Good morning! (though it IS Monday, and work lurks...)

Surprised to see this is still here. I thought the details (time) of the big update to the site were written in the last BManUpdate from the other day, but I'm not finding it this morning. (Probbly 'cause it's Monday morning!)
I remember reading that it wouldn't be available for a certain span of time. Guess we'll just see, won't we!!

Delle- I can imagine the conversation with Mom about our new addition! She has always been open to adopting new siblings for us. (maybe that explains Robert!)

Another gorgeous sunny day here... I did see a cloud Saturday for a bit. Wishing a great day on everyone!
