Star Wars vs. Star Trek?
I've got too much time on my hands, apparently. But I'm waiting for Return of the Jedi to buffer. So what say you? Star Trek was ok....but never had the collaberation with Joseph Campbell! And the Enterprise would have been fucked if it were attacked by storm troopers.
anything worth doing is worth overdoing..

Somebody at Euphoria wandered into my camp looking for "Camp Frakking Nerd" and I made a friend 4Life.
Until I told him steampunks weren't allowed at my goth dance party.
AND at Alchemy last year I met and am now friends with the 501st member who stood in full get-up around offering Free Imperial Hugs.
I'm generally anti-licensed characters as costumes, but seeing Stormtroopers in Thunderdome was rad.
I did an Orion slave girl-inspired get-up for TMus a couple of years ago.
And of course Playawaste Raider's get around in our:

Sensing a theme there, Yggie.
I met Shatner in '65, height of the star trek thing.
He was awesome.
Big grin on his face.
Interviewed Roddenberry once too.
Ever think about I Love Lucy and Star Trek?
Without the film approach used on Lucy, nuts or genius, no Desilu.
No Desilu, no Star Trek.
Would there even be star wars, or science fiction as we know it today?
Lucy and Desi were game changers.

Since I saw this, this is all I can think of when star wars comes up.

Star Trek had a sense of humor about its mythos that Star Wars never did, that Joseph Campbell would probably sniff at with Q-like disdain.

? are you nuts?!
far more, far hotter, women, on Star Trek.
And, probably some episodes had more attractive women, than a whole SW movie.
Not dissin SW, I liked them all.
I suppose it depends on the comparisons you want to draw.

No, that's creepy and disturbing. All a matter of context, actually. It's not the idea itself, just what it triggers in my brain.FIGJAM wrote:A long time ago an artist I knew noticed that star spelled backwards was rats and did sketches of all the charicters as rats. (RATS WARS)
