Arohanui from Aotearoa!

Post by miscmisha » Thu Jun 23, 2011 2:47 am

hello from Me :)

one fulltime mum, dreamer, partial domestic goddess/dj and corporate hippy.
This will be my first time on the Playa, but one that has been over a decade in coming. It's all thanks to the brother and sisters from the paddock in NZ; and i can't wait to eventually loose myself and zeGerman in the dust.
we'll be hanging out with the bakers. The accent will be sticking out like dog's balls.. seriously.

lookin forward to meeting you all and sundry!

Hi miscmisha! I love accents. I accidentally adopt them and then get paranoid that someone thinks I'm making fun of them.

. . . I think too hard.

MyLarry does the same thing, reflects the accent he hears back. Mimicry is a form of flattery, yes?

Watch it or you'll get Sybil as a playa name.

Welcome, miscmisha.

I 100% do that as well... don't be embarrassed - it's called Social mimicry and it's an unconscious effort humans make to connect more soundly with the people around them. The more adept at mimicry; the more of a social chameleon people become :)

@gyre Thanks! yep we're all locked an loaded... no last minute plan fails here ;)

Nau mai, haere mai e hoa - you won't be the only kiwi twang ringing out in the playa that week :P
I'm gonna be a kiwi girl at my first BM too, but I'm flying in from London. I'm not going with anyone at this stage, so might be nice to hook up at some point. Can't wait - so excited!

Arohanui,
Tracy

We recently upgraded the board, and a lot of buggy tech had to get worked out. Don't worry about it!
