Since this hot mess seems to be about me, I can't moderate it. If I were to lock it or move it, I'd be accused of no end of things. I no longer moderate Gyre anyway, I have officially turned that over to MDMF007 and Bay Bridge Sue. What he is referring to originally has long been deleted, before the mods had the quarantine storage forum. Once a thread or post is deleted, it is gone forever. No way to know what has been said unless he copied it and reposts it, stirring it up all over again. I did not pull the chain posts, nor have them pulled. This is apparently what I'm lying about. I'm not. I really am curious about where the internet empire rumor came from, because that was not me at all.

I've not posted a reply to him since April, in Tickets, when I called it a draw and walked off. This reply is the closest I will come, and is done only as an explanation of why I'm not moderating this thread. I certainly haven't been PM/emailing people about him unless they ask me point blank WTF? as I have been accused of doing. No grand conspiracies. I'd love to see my new lies, my so called digs, but I won't because ... either he won't go to the trouble to copy and paste them, or they don't exist. Oh, and I have him on plonk.

Apparently my most innocent remark is about him. Gee, just what he thinks is happening to him, reading intent into posts. I know he's making remarks about me, I get asked why I allow it. I allow it because I won't touch his posts now, he freaks out. I don't give a rat's ass what he posts about me, other than it sets a bad example of what is allowed.

I have walked away as much as I can and still moderate. Eplaya is now a chore rather than a labor of love.

edited to add: Let this die now. Walk away. If this thread is bumped, it cannot be for constructive purposes. Start a new one in Open Discussion. Bump the old Thunderdome, anything but bump this train wreck.

MOD NOTE - I PULLED THE CHAIN POSTS!!!!!!!!!!!! Anti M abstains from anything dealing with Gyre - As stated I get that honor.

The best advice to newbs: not every post/thread on eplaya is golden. Do a lot of skimming. If it sucks, don't waste your time on it. If a user bothers you, put them on ignore and move on.

Christ, I mod here and I cant keep up with it all.... Skimming is the only way I can operate; unless directed to a thread by a complaint.

God tell em about it, I usually skim this thread as I find it slow - now it is new and improved with more snark, accusations, profanity and innuendo!

Anti M usually beats me to these things 80 percent of the time, but now abstains from editing any threads Gyre posts too, theirs is a special drama I get to monitor. Thread drift definitely Lock it up? close to it, but there is plenty of discussion going on. As soon as i figure out how to split a thread from where it drifted I will do so.

After reading this entire thread, my eyes are bleeding. I've never seens so much useless bullsh*t in the almost year I've been here. As far as I'm concerned, I haven't met a soul on here that I didn't like. I've actually apologized to someone in eplaya because I thought I was being mean to him.

But all of these accusations against people is really troubling me. And it isn't the first time I entered a thread and saw the exact exchange of...sheesh I don't really know what to call it. But I think it needs to stop immediately. As a noob, it hasn't scared me away, it only makes me want to see that the constant thread piracy stops!!

If any other noobs come in here and read the outlandish and compulsive badgering, I will tell them this, THIS isn't what eplaya is all about. We are a close family of snarky, caring and loving people. I'm trying really say everything without a potty mouth, however...there are folks in the world that have their fucking heads so far up their asses, they need to put a window in their stomachs so they can see where the fuck they're going.

With that said, I will take my bar of soap and go cleanse my palate.

I am sorry to those new eplayans I have hurt, and to those attempting to use the eplaya for its intended purposes. The board is yours as much as anyone with a high post count. Take the eplaya for your own. It has been said we have the best year of Burgins ever this year, much noticed and remarked upon; I agree.

Some of the snark is old joking back and forth, and can be difficult to tell the difference at first. Like when I call everyone "fuckos" or some of us trade well worn insults. But yeah, I think every board at some point develops personality clashes and we're so attached to our perception of things, and so comfortable in our online personna, the disputes erupt over the years. Most of us have met in person, and are somewhat forgiving of silly eplaya behavior (but not all, obviously).

The meet n greet is part of what absolves us annually.

AntiM, what the fuck are you talking about? You are the kindest, gentlest, most warm-hearted, forgiving, and conscientious moderator in the known un-E-verse.

This is the most wide-open and welcoming board ever. Anybody can get their knickers in a twist over anything, some people even go out looking for that

but, please do not let one of those buckets of crazy grind you down.

I am using eplaya for its intended purpose and I find it remarkably useful, mainly because YOU, AntiM, do such excellent unpaid work here.
