Where can I find GPS coordinates for previous Events

I see that Google Earth has the historical satellite imagery for 2003, 2006 and 2010, which make it easy to place where the city was.

And Bearth.burningman.com has Google Earth files for 2006, 2007, and 2008.

And this site has recent maps: http://www.wkeller.net/BRC-GPS/

But where can I find the Man's location for other years? The Wikipedia article on BM does not have anything more specific than "Black Rock Desert".

Any ideas? Any one reading this just have a list of old GPS tracks they can post points for?

In particular I am looking for 2005 and anything before 2003.

You could try Flickr or other photo storing websites. many photos there are tagged with geolocation data.

Google earth is good for that as well.

Not sure if I get you but I had no problem locating BM 2010 by sliding the date controller to a date during the burn for 2010. Not sure why you see only 3 years. I'll have to look again.

Ok, I didn't manage to get more than a few dates, depending on where I had the map focused. Seems like there's no hyperlink method of sharing it with you but if you PM me your email address I can send you the .kmz file that will open BM 2010 in Goole Earth for you.

Thanks guys, but please read my first post more carefully.

I have already found 2003, 2006 and 2010 locations by using Google Earth.

mdmf007 had a great idea, though. I'll check that out this afternoon.

And thanks Bob, I'll check that link out too.

Anyone else have any idea or locations where I can get GPS data for 2005, 2002, or any dates before that?

GPS data exists for pre-1997 due to DPW cleanup crews returning to some of those sites to restore burn scars, pick up fasteners with rolling magnets, pull rusty rebar, etc. It's around somewhere.
