During the Great ePlaya Upgrade of 2011, I ventured into the 67 degree night for desperately needed Burning Food. It was a grim 3 block slog with a Radio Flyer. (I looked like a babysitter unaware that she had dumped her cargo.)

Provisions secured: Frosted Mini Wheats, shelf-stable organic milk boxes, raspberry/orange and pineapple/orange juice boxes, pear and papaya/pineapple fruit cups, three varieties of beef jerky, 2 "Hormel Compleats" for random mobile entrees, fire roasted tomato & olive oil Triscuits, Laughing Cow wedges, cheap champagne, Turkey Chili (no beans), & Mazzetta Giardiniera pickled vegetables.

Unfinished--ePlaya not down long enough--but I shall persevere.

But why would you trust me?

(But there was some uncertainty in your post, that's why I offered the explanation. You went with your gut, that's good--sometimes.)

As I'm staying with a friend right now (but he's out of town), I went through all my bagged-up clothes and started separating out my playa attire. Two large Tupperware containers, and more on the way. Also, took care of the car rental, fired off multiple logistical emails, and shamelessly ordered a bunch of goodies from Etsy.

I think they shorten their product names and descriptive names to sound a bit more european. They should be proud to be Canadian!
Anyhow, you can't go wrong with La Senza...
I love your lists, Fufa!

Stop it Savannah. I'm getting hungry and I just ate :) I LOVE those Compleats. I keep 2-3 in the truck and dine on em when driving around in the mountains.

I keep finding neat little things cleaning up around the house and shop.
A steak branding iron (rare, medium, well), glow in the dark fish skeleton, LED tea candles that dim and flicker randomly, 3 packs of Bic's and badge retractors to tape them to, a Japanese metal box 3x the size of an altoids tin, 100 feet of kevlar webbing (like nylon webbing but made of kevlar) which I think fire spinners might be able to use, and my old "EXPLOSIVES A" transport placard. That goes on the trailer!

Oh . . . the LED tea lights! I have a box of those leftover from a costume. I never even thought of using them in the desert. They could be sewn or cemented onto something . . .

I was actually waiting for someone to tell me how gross I am for stashing a few of those. Wouldn't it be funny if you turned out to be my sockpuppet? Suppose at the Meet n Greet, I keep leaving and coming back in wearing a goatee and platform boots, waving a salad fork in a debonair way . . . "Hello, Ladies" . . .

I ordered more of my favorite B&W film to add to my stockpile. 10 more rolls of Ilford HP5+ (36 exposure, 2-packs are still $5 at Adorama!)

If I were smart enough to just digital cameras until then, my stockpiling would be easier and cheaper. I'm not bringing digital gear to BRC, it's too much like "work."

I added a few days to my trip to BRC from San Antonio, stopping two nights in Vegas and Albuquerque instead of one each.

I booked a room for two nights at Circus Circus in Vegas (anyone else going to be there? Want to meet up?) before the last leg of the trip to BRC. My trip back will be bare bones and Ramen. I have an obligation the saturday after I return, which gives me a day to relax.

You are a riot Savannah! I laughed myself to tears on that last sentence.
Hmmm. Grade B maple syrup, Compleats, Grocery Outlet... Someone could make a circumstantial case of sockery here. That's cool, I'll plead insanity :)
Speaking of the G.O. I saw some of the LED tea lights there last Friday. $3 for 6. I got distracted or I'd have bought 2 or 10 boxes.

Garter
Image

Garter belt - suspender belt, in the Queen's English
Image

What you have is probably a bustier or teddy with attached garters, not a corset.

Sock garters
Image

Military shirt stays can also work.
Image

And, as I posted earlier, you can go to a sewing store and get the garter clip attachments and turn anything into a skirt/sock/hosiery garter.

Today, I continue my hunt for a flight into Reno and ride into BRC by way of a grocery store. Last night I finally finished some commissioned work for a fellow Eplayan, and will commence Eplayan commission #2 tonight!

All that and a killer jacket too?
I'm in love! I wondered where you lived because the background was nearly as beautiful as you.
Then I noticed. The north country.
When I found out her father had 10,000 trees on tap at his farm in Vermont I married Sweetpea immediately.
Bliss with syrup on top!
I will be visiting Adirondak Camp whenever my blood sugar is low.
I think it's a proportional relationship to how much is on hand.
Got a straw?
Ever try "VM"? Don't know who distills it but it's whisky with maple syrup.
On ice with a snort of pepsi on lake Champlain in August? Heaven!

Hi Foxfur, like you name a lot. Shall be bringing 30 quarts of pure NYS maple syrup or about 960 one once servings over crushed ice. Just received Nevada food service OK. Thinking of adding Booze, Butterscotch Schnapps a favorite but as newbies were freaked about the Law and bar service to minors and such. So our Tree Eater Bar is nonalcoholic! BTW, Adirondack is Mohawk for Tree Eater. Thanks on the VM tip, flavored whiskey- shall find and give it a tryout.

The trailer hitch for my bike rack arrived today.

Anyone have suggestions for an affordable yet decent quality receiver mounted 3 bike rack?

Today I ordered a some wonderful goodies from etsy. Hopefully they are all as awesome in person and I won't have to post the items to regretsy. I also agreed to a ride share (I am driving) from Los Angeles and we decided on a 4am departure time from LA on the 20th of August for a 2pm arrival on the playa. Now I need to get cracking on those last few costume projects and decide how much food I need to bring in addition to my com pass. Hmmmm.

It's getting so close. I leave in 51 days.
Finally moving to SF...can't WAIT!

I am obsessed with corsets! They are torture to wear but I want to!! I have my eye on a striped underbust one. I figure I can wear it over a dress or nightie.

I also got a bikini top on clearance that I am going to modify with fur and scraps of material.

I don't know a whole lot about it, but corset wearing is a not uncommon paraphilia.
