I don't bring corsets to the playa, I like being able to pull my own boots on! I took my double-boned (steel, plastic boning does not a corset make) to Euphoria for one night and was glad to have understanding friends who didn't mind picking things up for me.

Dr. Jet Sinister recently purchased some new ones...I forget the site, but she's quite pleased with them.

I like my friend's work, he was the person I first wore I true corset from. And what I find on Ebay and the occasional Etsy sale. Innerversion does nice work and they're having a crazy sale right now (but mostly small sizes).

I have at least four, now, corsety projects to work on, gosh darn it. That should be my next project. Just plastic boned things I need to cover with cool fabric and make them bigger to fit me. I need inspiration!

And I could take about corsets and other undergarments all the live-long day.

ETA: I do have a black underbust corset I'm trying to selll

http://columbia.craigslist.org/clo/2417392971.html

$60 for any of y'all who want it.

I love it, it just doesn't fit me quite right and I need the money. 8)

Buy two get one free at Corset Story!
I picked up 3 steel boned for the cost of one on Etsy. They're really well made.
Suck it.

EspressoDude gifted me one today and it fits well!
Now I need a cumberbun and a bow tie... mebbe some cufflinks too.[/quote]

I have a few cumberbuns and matching bow ties. I think I have pink and a light blue one. Maybe a light burgundy also. Very 80's high school prom if you are interested. I'll dig them out tonight and get a picture. If you buy a bow tie get one that you can hand tie, they look and fit much better.

O man, Random, any way I can talk you out of a pair? (cumberbunn and bow tie)

We're doing Prom as a "rite of passage" one night. I've been looking for Tuxedo's around Denver, used, and that don't cost an arm and leg. I have not had much luck. I'm thinking I may have to resort to black slacks, Cumberbunn and bow tie. May go shirt less, or find a used tux shirt at a thrift store, an cut the sleeves off.

That would be GREAT! Thanks Randy!

I like the idea of a hand tied bow tie. It would look SO James Bondish standing there tying it. Suave. I'd be untying and retying it constantly 8)

Espressodude! I even spell checked it with the google search box. That's good. I can post a double entendre subliminally.
The definition cracked me the hell up:
"When you're girl friend passes out before you bust a nut so you flog the bishop till you skeet all over the bitches' ass."
All I'd have to do is mention 'Girlfriend' and Sweetpea would give me all the lickin I'd ever need

Then there's the Detroit Cumberbund:
"The act of dumping on one's partner's stomach post coitus, and then wrapping Saran Wrap around their stomach several times as to seal it in."
Points for style but too much work.

And who could forget the Pittsburgh Cumberbund?:
"A sexual act where a man straddles a woman and cums on her face while shitting on her stomach.
"Since that bitch gave me a bunch of shit about not wanting me to cum on her, I obliged her with a standard Pittsburgh Cumberbund!""
I'll bet she loves you now. (DVD Burner shared that story with me...)

I think I could send the CUMBERBUNDs off to new homes. Let me get pics up tomorrow or tonight and you can let me know if you want one pair. A formal sounds fun, I'll have to pack something along those lines myself.

Continued the hunting & gathering. Yesterday found the elusive vegetable crackers on Buy 1 Get 1 Free, Gingersnaps to settle stomachs, and uh, emergency tampons. I'm unlikely to need 'em, but that's what the two people I gave 'em to last year probably thought when they packed. Stress (or new birth control) can make strange things happen.

Today's lunch hour shopping @ Trader Joe's: Indian food packets, pre-cooked Multigrain Pilaf, Clif bars, Luna Bars, Sweet/Savory/Tart granola bars, organic raspberry preserves, dried cherries, Trek mix.

Yesterday we began sorting the personal and the camp light boxes, testing the solar lights charging batteries and so on. Made a lot of art, got several pieces completed.

I spent a good amount of time today with spammers and figuring out the new Moderator Control Panel.

That triangle at the top, with the red exclamation mark, sends a report to the mods. Apparently we can moderate reported PMs too, but I haven't tried it out yet. Now I want to send lewd PMs and see who reports me to myself.

Parts express is a one stop shop for sexy new tech. I love them.
There are many ways to get you that 5 volts. The easiest would be to go to Radio Shack and get a cigarette lighter socket (what you plug things into in the car) and a USB power supply that you plug into the socket. It's about the size of a small box of matches with a end that fits the socket. Then you can do one of a number of things from there. If you know how to drive a soldering iron you can open up the case of the USB power thingy and solder wires to the 5 volt solder pads on the circuit board inside. Drill a small hole in the case, or burn-melt one, and run the wires out. The other way is to cut one end off a USB cord and pull the power from there.
Hopefully the lil thang will have a USB power input plug on the back or somewhere that you can just use a USB cord to plug right in.
There might also be something that's already ready already (heh heh) from a computer case mod site or a mobile electronics site.

I kinda overexplained it but hope someone else who reads this may get something from it :)

Thanks Ff. Yes usb power supply 5V. a few instructables on that as well as ready made charger things for cars. great stuff.
this is just a panel item, so the manual shows what all the connections are. still needs a box. I have an order coming from parts express tomorrow. It sucks to see something I want to buy this soon after my last "fix". I'm fixing up an old pioneer subwoofer that fit in the well of a spare tire. Ordered a new woofer and crossover. I thought it might be good for the playa since it's pretty well enclosed. It's been sitting under my desk for a couple of burns now and I think I'll finally fix it.

You are on it doggonit! :)
Instructables, of course!
I'm doing something along the lines of your subwoofer. I'm setting up a li'l system in the trailer with computer type desktop speakers and a sub. 12 volt right from the get go. I disconnected the volume pot from the main speaker and put a 10ft cord on it to operate it remotely. I'll run the cord under the bed and mount on the wall within arms reach.
Must stop starting new projects... but, what the heck else am I going to do

Found an LED mini wand keychain for 25 cents at a garage sale. It's pretty blue and has constant and 2 blinking speeds. It'll be going on my backpack me thinks... or belt. We'll see.

Also browsed EL wire online; I'm totally leaving it to the last minute to order the stuff cause I'm so indecisive about colour choices, diameter choices, driver choices, EVERYTHING. I hope shipping doesn't take forever. My goal is to finally order it all tomorrow or Saturday. :P

Cut the sleeves off and cleaned up red ambulance drivers coveralls. Looked at new roof racks for car. Looked for Cumberbunds but could not find them. I find it amazing that in a 530 sq foot space I can lose anything. I must have put them somewhere really clever. Oh I also made a Mai Tai for National Mai Tai day and broke my ice crusher. And made a pie but that was for Bocce, not Burning Man.

It does sound like you're prepared. might as well spend the extra 50 bucks for your food service permit, you're definitely prepared to pass inspection! :)

If you're ordering on ebay from China, expect at least two weeks shipping time. I've had stuff show up within a week, but also had to wait up to three weeks.

Speaking of roof racks...
Been looking at them on line for months.
Pretty steep!
Found one for $55 at W*Mart!!
Haven't even taken it out of the box yet...
(weekend project)
My little Nissan Versa has a roof window (or whatever it's called) and a stubby antenna.
This rack looked like those won't be a problem.

As Newbies we figure we have gone so far into our theme camp that we are in for some stress and great fun. 50 dollar permit is a stress reliever and the permitting folks gave personal feedback, not just a form letter.

Foxfur, Realized that your foot and paw prints are not at our camp and shall correct this. Foxes are always welcome. Shall attempt to cache some maple syrup so that you may always drink on your journey.

Yup, we have always found them very friendly and helpful; both on and off the playa. (They way government was meant to function.)

Truly rock my world.
Based on this conversation, I've now decided that my 'Prom Night' outfit will be a tux shirt, I'd like to find the most Pirateish one I can. With big ruffles down the buttons in the front. I'm gonna cut the sleeves off.
I'm gonna get some good comfortable black pants, cut each leg diagnol from left to right.
I have a really shinny silver belt. Yes it has sequence, though, they are very stable, I rip it off through my belt loops and none come off.
I need either a silver or white top hate. If I end up with a white or black top hate it will have to be EL Wired.

Hopefully I'm able to talk Random out of a purple or pink cumberbund and bow tie. My girlfriends 'prom dress' is purple.

Yes I'm that tacky that I'd like to sorta match my girlfriend.
