When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Well, in our funky country older cars that have big engines and go fast are called Hot Rods. Traditionally they have racing stripes, flames painted from the front end back to the doors, and big shiny wheels or hub caps.

Today was a tough day for me, but it's so nice coming in here and seeing all my friends in here having a good time!
I want a tattoo. I'm drawing something I want. It'll go on my lower back! So here's a poll: girls with tattoo's: yes or no. *LMAO as I'm about to say this* What say you??? *howling with laughter*

My two bits about tatoos - I'm annoyed by tatoos centered and placed like badges on a uniform. Tramp stamp

I like tattoos but I'm also mindful, personally, of the public/professional stigma of them.
I think getting a highly personal tattoo is neat. I enjoy the artistic and personal significance aspects of it.
I think the lower back (tramp stamp) area is a lovely place on the human body to get a tattoo, however I wouldn't get one there. Sadly, I am swayed by the often held negative perception about tramp stamps. I wish I wasn't and was more comfortable with the idea that it's my body and if I want to tattoo that spot then I damn well fucking will, but I think I'm intimidated by the often held prejudice about it. I'm a wimp, I guess.

Eh, I'm working on it. I don't think the burn has much to do with it as much as I need to work on my own perceptions no matter where I am. Burning Man has certainly helped me move in a more positive direction, though, even when I'm not there physically. I know what you mean, though.jkisha wrote:

My worst trait was (sometimes still is) being judgmental. BM has helped me with being more accepting of others and consequently in some strange way, that has caused me to worry less about what others think about me.

Heh, I struggle with being judgmental, also, but I think my main issue I want to squash is insecurity. Lack of confidence, happiness and acceptance in my own skin. Burning Man has both helped me a great deal with this but weirdly has also inhibited me greatly as well. Conflicting!jkisha wrote: LOL I'm sure you couldn't have that broom handle stuck further up your butt than I did before going to BM.![]()

When I went alone I felt MUCH more open and free. I got naked and rode around because I didn't know anyone and didn't care if anyone thought I was unattractive. I wore crazy, body revealing stuff. It was liberating. If someone didn't like it they could not look /shrugs. I felt complete permission to wear what I wanted, do what I wanted, get naked and do dust angels if I wanted...etc.
Now I camp with my fiance's group of friends and sadly I feel a lot of inhibition there. I wish I didn't. These people are important, life long friends to Will so I feel a purely personal pressure to not do anything that will cause them to gossip and talk shit behind my back as everything that happens at the burn is also discussed back in defaultia. I objectively realize if they are going to do that it's THEIR shit and has nothing to do with me, but it makes me uncomfortable.
