Re: Time for a Happy Thread
I may have some happy news:
Friends in Terminal Village are reported to be raising fuel money so I can drive my bus, and haul my fleet of bicycles, and a piano or two, and my bicycle repair tools and parts, and otherwise participate in TTITD this year after all!
It's a bit embarrassing, but I suppose I can tell myself that anybody self-employed and un-insured could be in my situation, and I've helped others a bit over the years. So I will accept it if this comes together.
Look for a piano in Kantina Apokiliptika.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Yay for everyone!
Yay for me! I'm unpacking from Juplaya, cleaning stuff, washing playafied clothing and REpacking to leave to Oregon tomorrow to visit everyone and go to Oregon Country Fair. And, hopefully, get my hair dyed purple.
I've always wanted to do it and finally think I've got the nerve.
It's just so...semi-permanent!
I have dark brown hair and that whole bleaching my hair thing scares the crap out of me.
We'll see if I actually go through with it.

Just get regular salon highlites done and color those. That's what I did last year and it's much less shocking and if you want more, then it's easy to just bleach out some more and purple it.Minxy wrote:Yay for everyone!

I've never even gotten regular highlights done at a salon.
I have dark curly hair, just seemed pointless. That's a good idea, though, a little less of a shocking do-over.
Jkisha, ya, I know, I'm nervous but I think I wanna do it.
We'll see.

And all those crazy colors are semi-perm and least on you, your shower tile..kinda permanent without a bunch of scrubbing.

But what was the deal with the early arrival wristbands last year? Some dumb gate girl tried telling me that they used them every year, which was BS, cause I've been coming early for at least four years and never before did I have to wear a wrist band.

Ya, I was hating that wristband last year. >( The person who gave it to me said it was "highly encouraged" to keep it on but not mandatory. So I took it off.jkisha wrote: But what was the deal with the early arrival wristbands last year?
