You look to sweet in your avatar to work gate.

But what was the deal with the early arrival wristbands last year? Some dumb gate girl tried telling me that they used them every year, which was BS, cause I've been coming early for at least four years and never before did I have to wear a wrist band.
I don't know that I have the authority to comment. I do know ea staff wears wrist bands, and have. The wrist band IS only until 12am on Monday of gate open.

I am sweet, but I have another side. hehe

The person who put my wristband on me did it so loosely that I took it on & off like a bracelet. At first I was affronted by the sloppiness of it, but then I liked the versatility. Slip it on for day! Slip it off for night!

I just literally lol'd in a 911 staff meeting at my big corporate job...perhaps it was clear I wasn't taking notes...

I've gotten an early entry wrist band every year for the last 3.
Suck it.

I may have some happy news:

Friends in Terminal Village are reported to be raising fuel money so I can drive my bus, and haul my fleet of bicycles, and a piano or two, and my bicycle repair tools and parts, and otherwise participate in TTITD this year after all!

It's a bit embarrassing, but I suppose I can tell myself that anybody self-employed and un-insured could be in my situation, and I've helped others a bit over the years. So I will accept it if this comes together.

Look for a piano in Kantina Apokiliptika. :D
That is awesome news Elliot!! Do you rent the bikes. I will need one!!

Bravo TnT, bravo!

Happy anniversary E&H! I had no idea we were celebrating anything other than a beautiful day and lovely firepower.
I wondered why I felt even happier than normally possible (like as in Yay cubed).

No, no, this is Burning Man. I lend them out, no charge. If this comes together, there will be one for you. I ask that the users of the bikes provide their own locks and lights if at all possible.

Hey EspressoDude and Foxypants..

I'm driving up from Vallejo/Bay Area. Portland (actually more Oregon City/Carver/Gladstone) is my hometown, I've only lived down here for 2.5 years. I drive up every couple of months or so to visit everyone.

I won't have my own laptop but I can get ninja internet access from my kids once I'm there. :P Plus my e-reader if I sit outside a wifi hot spot. :D I will be crunched for time THIS week cause I'm leaving Thurs night/Friday morning for Country Fair but after the weekend I'll be in town doing "nothing"...ie just random visiting stuff. If there's anything fun happening maybe I can come! :D

The PDX CORE group is doing a bbq thingie on 7/17 for their art project before it heads to the playa, I might stay for that. I'll PM ya'll with my info. :) Beautiful day for a road trip, wheeee! YAY!

I will be bringing extra locks. I'll look for chain and cables at goodwill or the dollar store.
What a wonderful act of Terminal kindness help you bring such joy to the playa. I'm really looking forward to hearing you and others play your pianos on the playa. I don't think I will have room for a bicycle so your bicycles will give me a chance to explore farther that I can on foot.
You're a gem Elliot!

Alas, I cannot play the piano! I just bring a piano or two for others to play. Why do I own pianos when I cannot play? Because they were free and other people can play! See, it does not take much to create a little happiness. :D
