I haven't seen it this year. What will the playa be like this year? Chunky? hard? extremely dusty? soft? Has anybody been out there yet? Will it be windy? Will it rain or will it be sunny? I need answers!

What you need cannot be provided here. There's always wind, there's always rain, there's always sun. All have been noted up there this year.

Count on dust. Lots of dust. This from my experience a few weeks back.
