(I have other habits you may wish to discuss with them...)

There's a thread on constipation somewhere.

Dehydration can cause constipation.

Wow Jella, that is very cool. I have a few hundred$ in amazon money in my acct (thanks mom!) and just dropped two in my cart.
At first I thought it was some sort of enema device for busy folks on the go. Then I noticed something about ice cubes and got a cold chill.

I might keep one in the trailer's freezer and one in operation and alternate. Sweetpea puts quart bottles of water filled halfway in the freezer then fills em up with water to keep next to her bed. Nice cool H2O for hours.

Thanks for the awesome lead!

Quoth the duo CfM via ygmir after the initial volley was thrown:
Cfm is correct on the vitalyte. I have a very sensitive tummy nowadays and gatorade and other 'sports' drinks will make one nauseous in a hurry. And Trishntek, it's supplied to sports teams because they pay for the privilege. It certainly doesn't make them the best option.
Something that stands out to me after I caught up on the conversation is the difference in our perspectives. What JK quoted about MAINTENANCE is diametrically opposed to REPLACEMENT. I drink water, sport drink, beer, absinthe and a shot of scotch once-in-awhile. I also eat soups and, as written previously, a balanced diet containing all the food groups! A quart of sugar water with enough lytes to do me good and, PREVENT CRAMPS is all I need! No hangovers,,, pee dark yellow in the morning and turn it to a nice GOLDEN SHOWER by noon. It works for me and Vitalyte works for you. I'm jus' sayin' I'm all about maintenance and not so much replacement,,, it's called, PACE YOURSELF.

misters, like cameras, and binoculars, if they aren't small and easy to carry, you tend to leave them in camp. I have one kind of like this, pressurized pump from the bottom.

A packet of Emergen-C is included in my morning water bottle. And another one at night. I don't swear by it or anything, and I know you can overdo it on vitamins, it just works for me.
I was also going to throw out a plug for emergen-c as well, it's what I use, is sugar free and doesn't gum up the hydration bladder/tube.
Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

I've seen this topic before somewhere. Staying regular is important to a lot of people. Then there's OED, who claims to take imodium every day.
Yeah, there's a thread buried around here someplace. For whatever reason I go pretty often out there. Must be the excessive drinking or playa dust. :D As far as hydrating, I do fine with gatorade. I drink that in camp and when I'm out and about water out of my camelback.

68 with 61% humidity.

Granted, the humidity is in the form of fog & you need a light jacket to leave the house, but still- it's High Humidity!!

The old school treatment for a diarrhea patient suffering dehydration was TWO Tablespoons of table salt and THREE tables spoons of brown sugar mixed in a quart of water. It actually tastes like chicken broth. I've seen it do wonders on octogenarians.

When you come to visit us, don't forget about our Barbie Bunny. She squirt a fine mist of cooling water,,,, her urine is the only body fluid on the playa that is as refreshing as the morning mist.

That was a quote from me. I get what you're saying about perspective.Whatever works for you, works for you. I just wanted to state there are better options for electrolytes than gatorade, and I shared why the alternatives work better for me. I drink nothing but water, water spiked with vitalyte, and the occasional Pepsi during the whole event so any hangover I have is just from exhaustion. :) It's funny you say that maintenance and replacement are diametrically opposed though. You kinda have to replace lost electrolytes to maintain a healthy balance.

Humidity is 22% not as bad as it's been. I think the oven burned most of it off.

Meanwhile, the high in Gerlach is 97 and 5% humidity with a heat index of 92. So don't worry Tamarakay! ;)
Suck it.

Oh man JK, I would have shit in the middle of a parade float driving past a nunnery and sing yankee doodie dandy if I had to. Had no privacy concerns. I think it was stress induced impaction.
The molly's had that AND delayed monthly cycles Sweetpea told me.
Even wors, she said a majority of them sync'd up on their time of the month through AIT and that time was a living, screaming, bitching hell.
Glad I didn't have to experience THAT.
I thought I'd have problems with the showers. Nope. Truthfully I kind of miss it (I know...) in the way that you're a band of brothers and the nudity is just not an issue. There's a kind of cameraderie that is really difficult to describe but is devoid of sexuality. We had to double up in the showers, one guy soaping away from the showerhead while the other guy is rinsing, switch, repeat as needed.

I left in '92 when it hit 115 in downtown Phoenix in July and we only had a swamp cooler. You couldn't pay me to go back! (though I really miss the big rolling thunderstorms, and pictures of the Haboob last week brought back memories of watching them roll across the horizon from our house out near Usery Mountain, back before all those housing developments ruined the desert)
