We made another sunflap for the North Pole thing. Trying to make something that will block one of those big side doors, top to bottom, but still allow air flow. We will see how it does today.

I took off my SWAT baseball cap for the pic.
The outfit, minus the coat, was a real head turner... 3 complements and one "Are you a doctor?"
My reply? "No. But I do play one on TV".
No shit, I really did say that.
PLUS, I wore my shoulder pads strolling around and sitting on the grass with a friend at a mini mall. Every time the little voice(s?) said TAKE IT OFF, I left it on longer

yeah, way way cool! maybe having two colors or some other design on the scrubs would lessen the dr. indentifier? I'm seeing a billowy sleeve pirate shirt with that overmantle, er, shoulder gear. I'm enjoying the fun you are having. thanks.

Foxfur, you look fantastic! The magenta scrubs really sell the look, but, I highly recommend the feel of fur against bare skin.

further hemorrhage for the sound system fantasy. I could open a store for camping gear, and portable stereo parts. The speakers I have wired together and draped over the couch sound fine, but more is on the way. Why is so hard to just pick something and stick with it? seriously the time I spend on music, recording, reformatting, and building... then I don't really listen to much or share it there, since I end up craving a bit of quiet. ah well. passes the time.

brava decoupage, and other tin decoration. I have a tin I'd like to pass on. It reminds me of how I liked to sit around in the morning at Burning Man, smoking and drinking coffee.

I haven't used Mod-Podge for years, but I seriously admire the decoupage work that hits my local shops, and I bought a sweet little flask that says I am Medicated and Motivated.

I actually shrieked when I saw Foxfur in that crazy coat.

I think it was the pose that did me in.

Also, have mild coat envy.

I'd bought champagne and 24 D batteries today (for an excellent price; Walgreen's has Buy Any Size, Get 1 Free this week, depending on your zip code, y'all) and was so chuffed about it--because I love a bargain--and now all I wanna do is leave the house again and play among the fur coats at Value Village.

Goddamn you, Foxfur.

When I was a little boy my mom couldn't keep away from her fur coats.
Parading around the house, marching up and down the street, or just snuggling up for a nap.
I simply adore a fine fur coat.

well, i still don't have the flow mastered on my swamp cooler, but i worked on it again today.

i sorted out the cots, started staging the bigger gear for shipping and started packing my bins!!

i camp all the time; i don't know why it seems so hard to pack this stuff. i keep calculating in my head - 4 bags, 50lbs each - ship the rest. the problem is that i am working backwards and don't have my bags packed yet so i can't finalize what gets shipped!!! ok, enough b$&%chin for the night.

oh yea!! i played with the solar panels today!! that was awesome and i am going to have plenty of power to charge lights, run fans, run pumps & still some left over. i am giggly over that!!! (yes, that was my girly moment for the day)

*sighs* coat envy, packing envy, gadget and just general getting ready envy. *sighs* even being a temporary hippy isnt satisfying i forgot to turn off my alarms so i woke up early today and then for some reason the cat decided it wanted to play with me - totally prevented any pleasurable return to sleep on ym first proper day of unemployment. goddamm it.

I officially arrive in Reno on Aug. 24 at 10:25 a.m.

I did not get to the store for my Platypus replacements or a carry-in suitcase (mine broke last year), as tubing down the river took up all of my Sunday. Excellent day.
