Idea - Ice in Bubble Wrap
Idea - Ice in Bubble Wrap
I had an idea but have no idea of how to implement it and maybe someone here with the expertise can implement it... If one could get water inside of the bubbles in bubble wrap and then create shirt and pants with it, then freeze it, it would make a pretty cool (and functional) outfit for the playa on those hot days... If someone works in a bubble wrap factory, you might be able to make a few bucks if you know how to make this work.

Id rather be hot than freezing my nuts off, but good Idea for people that like cold more than heat
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

you could get a bunch of those soft gel freezer packs and stitch them together.

What other people think about you is none of your business.

Or just make a vest lined with pockets to hold those.Bounce530 wrote:you could get a bunch of those soft gel freezer packs and stitch them together.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Must..............refrain................from...................snark.................awwwwww......................brain............................so painful...............
phew, ok, close one there
I actually have a reusable freezer doohickey exactly like you describe. I bought it at a boat show some years back so I would suggest you search marine vendors for this and/or a similar product.
However, consider the weight of said suit, and the ability to refreeze it when it quickly (and it will) thaws.
Maybe an ice cube up the butt? Opps, sorry, couldn't contain all of the snark, sorry AntiM

Oh, and by the way I11I1II1, I want to thank you again for the Instructable on how to say your name.
Although I haven't seen all that much of you in here since that day, it really IS a pleasure to look at your name and be able to gleefully shout "I KNOW what that says!!!"
so, thank you for taking the time with me oh so long ago....
Hope to see you chillin' on the Playa!!!

There are already many companies that make vests that have ice packs in them to help people keep cool. I quick search on Bing and I found these.

I've used similar when dressed as Smokey Bear in the summer.
