Mayan Calender

The question noone knows the answer to...Why does the Mayan calendar end on Dec. 27th 2012, the day of winter solstice? What will happen then, a shifting of the poles, massive cosmic destruction, or enlightenment? Will the earth transform into multidimensionality of time and space? Or will it just be another day like the rest....?

could it be that it's one of two unique day lengths in the year?

...April, with the priestess in the skimpy feathered outfit, holding up the still beating heart, is one of my favs...
