Sparkle Pony Derby

I have an idea that in some form may have been done in teh past but searching here doesn't seem to produce anything.

The idea is this:
Have stick horses that teams can declare as their own Sparkle Pony. Then said team members spread out at different places along the circle around Center Camp. It's a relay race, first rider goes partly around, handing off the Sparkle Pony to the next team member, so on and so on. The first to make it around is the winner.
I actually think this could be alot of fun.
It could be simple with just a race or it could be a bigger event with a party (mint julips) at somebody's camp. We could invite folks to come dressed in their finest derby wear including outrageous hats.
I'm going with my beau and not involved with a camp at all so don't have the resources for a big party but would love to get involved a create our own derby race.
Anyone else like this?

Agreed. The World's Largest Game of Duck, Duck Goose seemed to be unfolding on a big open street corner near Ice 9 one recent year. They had no trouble attracting people. They tried to enlist me, but I wasn't dressed for it.

Id suggest
It would take a lot of coordination,
But a race from BRV to Terminal City.
It is not really far. A couple blocks up and few blocks over.

Polpetta di Cavallo is a delicacy in Italy... also have had it seared tartare, but I have to marinate the hell outta it, as it's tough as nails.

Think I'll start on em now and see how many I get done for the festival, much more colorful tho. I like the idea of BRV to Terminal City. Could be one heck of a race! I'm a terrible barker. Guess I could start taking applications here

I'm thinking of bringing a portable FINISH line. maybe a START line as well. whistle, and "race staff" t-shirt.

I would prefer a Sparkle Pony Death Match. I know of a couple sparkle ponies from my camp that I could volunteer for that....
