I imagine he could make it do just about anything he wanted it to do! From reading about it, it looks like he's already got over $20,000.00 invested into making it. (And hey, what good is playing a video if it doesn't have sound?)

Also have you thought about using an iphone running a VJ app instead of the ipod. With a VJ app in control you could mix vid's and even have sound reactive stuff. there a re a few VJ apps in the app store, check out ivj, tappr.TV, i've used both and they work pretty good. just search VJ in the app store.

Excellent project, congrats (and good luck)! I can't think of anything specific offhand, but I'd recommend either doing something abstract or maybe use cool nature or space footage.
