I can't wait to hear what she's wearing these days. We stopped at a place called the International Cafe (Austin, NV) and they had Freedom Fries on the menu. The only thing that could be considered 'international' on their entire menu was pizza. I sat there giggling the whole time and hoping they wouldn't kill us.ygmir wrote:I'll check it out, thanks.
I'll try to check the rest of her ensemble.
Suck it.

GD! I sure hope that works out for ya! That would be a nice creative occupation, would it not?
As-far-as looks you get when venturing into rural Great Basin ports-o-call, whether I've been in full bike-riding leathers, shorts and t-shirt, kilt or skirt,,,, it is just a general acknowledgement of an "outsider". Having lived in towns of less than 1000 population in Wyoming, everybody knows who is or is not a resident and put up these "walls of suspicion" toward outsiders.
The day-to-day ambiance in such communities is so routine,,,,, so predictable,,, that anything out of the ordinary makes the front page of the "Weekly Chronicle". Hell,,,, I even made the front page of such a publication by simply building a solar greenhouse as a domestic heat source back in '82.

just a point of clarification:
That pistol, will not be the "old" Colt SA, or SAA.
it'll be since 1950 ish (IIRC, that's when .44 mag. was developed).

yeah, I still have and shoot an 1897 Winchester pump 12 ga.
And had the same vintage P38, great gun.
I was just sayin', that, the "original" Colt SA did not come in .44 mag.

Story Time!
Today I received a card in the mail from a family friend who is like a psuedo grandmother to me. She has never, I repeat, NEVER sent me a card for any reason before. My birthday was 3 months ago. I was so confused. I opened it up and taped inside is a beautiful gold necklace featuring a double-sided pendant of embroidered flowers. I instantly recognize it. It had to be ATLEAST six years ago when I was a young teen, and I was at her B&B for a visit with our families. I spotted this particular necklace on display in one of her theme rooms (she collects antiques and other cool things). It's a piece of work done by a well known artisan in the area who passed away many years ago. When I had told this pseudo grandmother that I really liked the necklace, she told me she would ask her daughters if it was something of sentimental value to them, and if it wasn't I could have it. She never mentioned the necklace again, and the next time I visited it wasn't on display so I assumed one of her daughter's had taken it. Now fast forward to today, as I'm practically tearing up reading the long letter she included explaining how she had tucked the necklace away for safe keeping and had simply forgotten it, as I had, until she found it while cleaning out a drawer. It was probably the best thing I have ever received in the mail.
