Arrrgh! Can't...find...thread...
Some thoughtful woman wrote a bit on going to Burning Man every year in a cargo van and sleeping inside. Great tips. I'm planning to do the same this year.
But I didn't bookmark it. Now I've searched but I can't find it! Anyone remember seeing it?

I always thought Junglesmacks was a man.
Gender on the net is so hard.
Tell me, do I look like a post-modern Elvira on the web?

Here's your thread. It took digging through 35 pages of junglesmakes posts and trying otu the new search. Don't say I've never done anything for you.

When I first read his post, I thought to myself that it would be you that found the correct thread for him! Your reputation precedes you! Good work Fishy.theCryptofishist wrote:Here's your thread. Re: Arrrgh! Can't...find...thread...
I do appreciate the ling and while that has some useful info, the post I seek was made by someone who specifically rented a cargo van and not a truck with her husband! I'm wondering now if maybe it was on Tribe. Still, that was some useful reading. Actually has me wondering if I should get a box truck instead of a van...
Re: Arrrgh! Can't...find...thread...
I was a tad perplexed on the gender thing as well, I seem to recall Savannah mentioning cargo van but try as I might did not find any real detailed posts. I also looked through Lucky420's stuff but now I know that was futile as I believe she goes the truck route. Search, leaves one searching.

Yeah can't find it anywhere. I could do a deep search of my history but I've read hundreds of posts since then. I guess I'll just be grateful for that post for inspiring me and leave it at that.
Re: Arrrgh! Can't...find...thread...
A cargo van was great but I did not sleep inside it for the week; I just found that it was a great size for two people to haul two bikes (inside), monkey hut, shower structure, two tents, and a lot of food, water and other stuff without having to tie anything to the outside or play extended load-in tetris. We could, in fact, have hauled a third person's modest cache (if not the third person himself; no third seat). We used the van for storage during the week and slept in our tents. Would it be possible to sleep in the van? Yes--but probably stuffy and warm. I don't think I would "sleep later" in a van than in a tent, temperature-wise (though it's quieter). And unless you unload most of your stuff, or don't have much, or are just one person, you'd want to be good friends with the person you're with. I would sleep in a van on my own, but might prefer more space--like a box truck--if I were two people.
It was Junglesmacks (that's no lady!) who wrote about living in the back of a box truck he got from Budget on Gentry Way in Reno. Box trucks are handy bedrooms.

Yeah wasn't those posts although they were helpful. The person I'm sharing it with will be my wife so I think we'll manage! I'm going to write out my plan and hopefully get helpful advice and warnings from all of you sexy burners.

Bob told me that using Google to find ePlaya threads sometimes works better than the Search feature. This was prior to the new ePlaya, whose search feature I have not yet really tried, but in any event, he was right.
Try any keywords you remember, tack ePlaya on to the end, and see what you get.
